I have Really Appreciated this Charger
This charger has been in service for only a few months at this point, but I am liking what I see! Hard-hitting punch has earned respect from my milk goats on my side and the neighbor cows on the other side. I'm running mine off of a lawn mower-size gel cell and a small 35-watt solar panel, and I never have to mess with it. The alarm did get disconnected on mine because I thought it was going to be a lower volume, but it turns out to be a real loud shrill alarm that will get everyone's attention! I just didn't want someone nearby to have to deal with it if it went off while I was away from home. If you had a problem animal that you really wanted to tend to for a couple of days without risk, I might use it then. It is nice to see the condition of everything just in passing as I walk by. I can hear it clicking as always with others, but the digital display tells me battery status, weed or short status, all at once with numerical readouts, not just a swinging needle that may or may not be accurate. Also, the remote control I didn't think I would have a need for has turned out to be my favorite "toy"! It's so nice to be working on the fence and turn things off from a long distance and then turn things back on to verify things. I lost my remote once temporarily, and I had to remember that I can simply unplug from one socket on the charger and re-plug into a socket that doesn't use the remote, so they thought of everything. I'm so sorry to be moving away from the USA brand chargers that I have used for over half a century but until they can make them last for 20 years the way they used to last instead of only one year and with a proud price, that's just what I'll do. Hope you're reading this, Parm**. I had one question for the company when I lost my remote control and was away from my paperwork, and they were there to reply and offer their help straightaway. That totally surprised me!

High power at a goud price point
Haven't used it a lot but it's strong and so far working well. For the price point thus seems pretty good! Comes with a remote control to turn it off and on ( which is a nice feature) and has a VERY LOUD siren alarm (like blast your ear drums out loud..so be cautious) that you can set so you know when it's shorting out. Can be used AC or DC which is also a fantastic feature.

Hot fence until it dies
Not even three months stopped working . Second one the last one lasted a year. It's cheap And they wont return it if it breaks. I'll buy another one but just know you get what you pay for. FAFO with this fence charger will put you on your #6$-##. . keeps my Dogs and cattle where I want them.

You want to make your animal jump 10 feet in the air?
This KICKS like an angry draft horse! Oh man. I have one stubborn escape artist dog who showed all of my other dogs how to climb over my neighbor's fence and run around the neighborhood. I did not have this issue until one night a storm blew down the neighbor's fence. Ever since then, they found out that there's an entire world on the other side, and the one became hell bent / obsessed with escaping. We repaired the fence, and all of them got out the very next day. We reinforced the fence further, and again they got out. We put a freaking metal lid (5 feet of horizontal metal bars at the top of the fence) and they still got out (how? Because the one is a Houdini, and once he breaks through, all the other ones get hyped up and follow him! Even if they hurt themselves in the process.) We even put an extra fence up on the interior of the main fence, and he ripped that down and still got out. It was to the point where he was cutting himself and breaking his teeth just to figure out how to undo whatever new obstacle we put up. Because of all this mayhem, one of my dogs ended up getting hit by a car (he is okay but it was EXTREMELY SCARY and cost me thousands at the emergency vet), and another got kidnapped by a self-proclaimed "rescue do-gooder" who REFUSED to give him back. We had to get the police involved, and they almost had to break down his door. Another went MIA for an entire week; we had the whole neighborhood looking for him. I was so scared to let any of them out at all, but how on earth was I supposed to keep energetic intelligent working breed dogs inside the house 24/7? They need to poop and pee, and they need to run and play! Every time I'd let my dogs out to pee, within 30 seconds they would be climbing over, digging under, or tearing straight though the fence, leaping over my neighbor's tiny gate, and running in all directions. When my husband found me camped out in my neighbor's yard in the rain, waiting to jump out and yell at them when they started to escape, he said enough is enough. I knew the only thing I could do at that point was to order an electric fence. I knew that something weak was not going to stop them - they run RIGHT through invisible fencing at the highest setting and don't even flinch. Most of the electric fence boxes available on Amazon are weak, and I already knew they'd barely even tickle them. My dogs have thick skin, and even thicker skulls. VERY stubborn, VERY determined, and nearly impervious to pain. The night I installed this zapper box, I waited by the back door.. and sure enough, within a minute of letting them out, I heard a LOUD "YERP!!!!!!!" and I watched my Houdini boy projectile himself straight up and away from the fence like he was shot out of a cannon. Every single one of them tried it. They looked like they had seen a ghost. My Houdini tried it two more times after that in different spots, I suppose to make sure he wasn't dreaming. They all were sent airborne every time. Yes, yes, and yes! SUCCESS! Now my dogs are SAFE from their own devices! After a month of turning this on religiously every time they went out, they eventually stopped going near the fence completely. We stopped having to turn it on. We rarely ever turn it on now.. they respect the crap out of that fence! An added bonus is that I no longer have to worry about them trying to taunt the neighbor's dog ever again. The neighbors have a tiny little ankle biter and my dogs are huge powerhouses that were bred to hunt and kill wild boar.. so it always made me nervous seeing them taunt each other through the fence. My boys are friendly and have never had any inappropriate interactions with people or other dogs, but I know that they could quite literally eat my neighbor's dog in a split second if they really wanted to.

Very powerful but drains battery quickly
Works well, packs a punch, will jump an arc about 1/4 inch. 4 stars because it runs down a normal size car battery in 3 days. If you’re going to use it on 12V, be sure you also invest in a 100 watt or better solar panel to keep up with it. Have not tried the 110 Volt option.

Need a new power supply, but amazing product
This is not an ordinary hot wire box, it will determine even the most stubborn animals. I love the remote on/Off, and stays and fail lights. I did not use the included fail warning buzzer because our power fails frequently and it would drive me nuts. I do need the company to contact me because I need a new power supply the frequent power interruptions out in my neck of the woods has messed it up. In 15 years of using hotwire this has to be hands down the best box I've found for goats and stubborn cattle.

Quit within a few months
We purchased this fence charger on July 6 and it quit working by November 14. Does not appear to be a good quality.

Works great!

It worked great and taught our houdini horse a lesson... until it stopped working. The power light flickers on but nothing else works anymore. Just a month and a half after installing it. I can't find any support for this product or any way to contact the seller for a replacement. 1 star for the lack of support.
