This harness/leash works great, we bought two. Our kittens are just learning to go outside. The leash is secure if you tighten it and the kittens don't seem to mind it. Very sturdily made. (There is a lot of these available, the design of this one is made to ensure the cat is comfortable. Our kittens are very finicky and they didn't try to escape or freak out from it, even took naps with the harness on when they were getting use to it.) The only thing I would change is to have the neck area open and close. However I do recommend it. One of our kittens is very active and the harness didn't limit his ability to move.

This seems like a good quality harness, however a small size is too big for my 5 mo old kitten! This wud work for a grown cat or small dog... it's misleading in the description!

As many of you know, cats are picky AF. If they don't like a harness, they will do this kinda squat-walk or just refuse to move at all. My cat is very much the same. What is great about this harness is that because it limits the contact between his fur/skin and itself, it doesn't restrict his movement. Many others that have a fully-covered back can inadvertantly inhibit movement while they're walking bc a cat's shoulder blades will move upward while they walk; a flat covered back therefore makes them feel restricted. This harness does not have such an issue, bc the back is open. The straps are all adjustable, especially along the center back and stomach area, where they are most likely to feel discomfort or try and slip the harness; there is an additional layer of padding along the stomach strap so that it feels comfortable and does not dig in and-helpfully-the leash clip is on the back by the stomach area, not the center back or neck, so there is zero risk of hurting their neck or chest. Now, I have had my 7lb 22mo-old male cat full-on flip out in this thing, throwing himself around and upside down and in the air, and he could NOT slip out of it. My only real complaint is the leash--it is barely 5-ft and feels very flimsy, so I would suggest investing in something more like a 10ft retractable leash for your cat or small pet rather than use the included leash. Otherwise, great harness for a cat!

The neck strap does not secure with clips. Instead, the neck strap is a permanently attached circle that slips over the animal’s head. It then has two sliders that have to be adjusted to tightened the strap around the cat’s neck. This is not easy to do, especially if your animal is already freaked out by having something slipped over its head. Then to remove the harness, you have to loosen the two sliders for the neck strap. This is way too much work to have to go through each and every time that you used the harness. This is very poorly designed
