Very nice blinds. The quality seems quite good. I got them working with Google Home via Matter without too much difficulty, although the bar code on one of the two sets of blinds I ordered was smudged and couldn't be used. Thankfully, the code was fine. My only complaint is that I wish I could automate them via Google Home. Quick Google searches indicate you can, but when you try to create an automation rule, you find that the button for the blinds device is grayed out, and this is known by reviewers on YouTube. Maybe the blinds will be updated later to support this? I was hoping to have our kitchen blinds open automatically 30 minutes after sunrise every morning.

First and foremost, this shade is awesome! Purchased for a patio door that was only to have the non-openning half covered. Ordering was the most tedious. Selecting size and options took some time, but time well spent. Shade arrived to my exact measurements and ahead of schedule. Installation of shade took maybe 15 minutes. I had the need to contact Smartwings Amazon support with some questions regarding connectivity. He (Jason) was extremely prompt and very helpful, and provided Youtube links to answer my questions. I purchased the shade with a remote and the Zigbee motor. By adding a Zigbee 3.0 Hub to my home, I can now operate the shade using the remote, Alexa, and the Tuya Smart app on my Samsung smartphone. If you're looking to get lazy and add another piece to your home automation, this shade is a reasonably priced attractive addition! Oh, the motor is very quiet and almost soothing as the shade lowers to fully block the light. I may be buying more for other rooms.

To start, smart blinds are expensive….no denying that. These get them in the range of affordable for an average person however. Prior to these you were looking at an easy $500+ per window. Mine were just shy of $300, and that’s with Apple HomeKit, the most expensive operating system to buy. If you’re using Amazon or Google they’ll cost $50 less. Not to mention the recurring $15 you save per blind as you only need one remote (and it is mandatory). I write this having owned these blinds for 30 minutes. I took them out of the box, spent roughly 15 minutes removing the old blinds and installing these, 5 minutes programming the high and low setting, and the remaining 10 minutes sending videos of my new voice activated blinds to most everyone I know.As for installation, extremely easy. If you’re capable of the most basic home repairs you can put these up. If your tool kit is limited to a single Philips-head screwdriver….you own all you need. You simply screw the brackets in the the window framing, attach the motorized blind to the brackets, then sync it to whatever system you use. The only real optional 4th step would be to hook up the solar panel, which I’d recommend buying.Sizing: follow the instructions on provided when you buy them. Measure your window width in multiple places….just in case your window isn’t perfectly square. Use the smallest measurement. They’ll be cut perfectly to size. Within hours of placing my order a company representative messaged me to reconfirm my measurements and insure I had measured according to instructions.Operation: the blind opens and closes smoothly. The sound of the motor is noticeable, but by no means is it loud. Any background noise would likely muffle it out. The blind closes at a moderate speed. My 53” tall window takes roughly 8-10 seconds to fully open or close. The included remote could be understood by a toddler. I bought the apple HomeKit version and it synced effortlessly, and immediately responded to voice commands.Order speed: obviously these blinds are custom made. You choose the style, opening direction, material etc then the company cuts them per your provided measurements with a small safety margin built in. I ordered my blind on late on Dec 17th. They arrived 10 days later. Bear in mind during this time we had a major national holiday, and a winter weather emergency over much of the country. A 10 day turnaround time is phenomenalLastly, I’d recommend the solar panel option as well. You won’t have to charge the blinds often during regular use, but the solar panel makes it a truly “set and forget” item. We buy smart home accessories for convenience….the solar panel maximizes the convenience of the blinds.If you’re considering smart blinds I’d HIGHLY recommend this brand. Not only has the product lived up to every expectation I’ve had, the communication with the company has been phenomenal as well. They near immediately contacted me to insure I was getting exactly what I needed, and they keep me in the loop with the status of my item as well. I really hope they manage to keep their prices where they are, if not lower, as I’ll likely invest in more of these in the future.

After delivery was rescheduled a few times (outside delivery service - not Amazon delivery), item finally arrived. I have to say the quality of the shade is very impressive. Installation was a breeze. Large size , 110 inches, took at most 30 minutes to install including the five brackets. Linking to Alexa prove to be challenging but after a few attempts got it linked and it works great. Packing was also very impressive. Obvious that this company puts care and concern into their product. Got off to a rocky start but turned out beyond our expectations. Will definitely order shades for other windows.

I bought this product six months ago as a simple, stylish black out screen. It was easy to install, me and my 14 year old put it up. Charging works well, looks great. I had a followup request which the company responded to promptly.
