Got for my office and it keeps kids entertained while mom and I take care of business.

This lamp was simple to set up and works well. You fill the chamber with water (distilled is recommended but I did use straight tap water), add a few drops of dishwashing soap, and then put the included jellyfish/sea life inside. Included are two jellyfish, one pink and one blue, plus a seahorse, a fish, and a shark. The little pieces have small parts that wiggle and have a bit of weight to them. Then, put the lid on the lamp and use the included USB charger (you supply your own power brick) and plug it in. You can set it to a color of your choice or just leave it on random and the colors will change on their own. There seems to be a slight air pump that gets all the sea creatures to move around in the lamp. I like this and plan to give it to my middle schooler for her room- it would be cute to leave on as a nightlight as it's bright but not so much so that you couldn't sleep through it. I'd be wary of giving it to kids that are super little, as they could get curious and easily take the cap off and spill the water all over. The fish parts are a good size, and I bet you could add other plastic pieces that are similar to these if you wanted more creatures in your lamp. This would make a nice gift for your kid's friends, too. Great gift for all genders and super cute. I've not seen a lamp like this before and pleased I got it.

Easy enough to operate and put together and attractive. However, I am disappointed that the jellyfish don’t float up and down. They only hover at the top. This is for my son and love lights… so we’ll keep it

This lamp is soothing to watch and the many different colors makes it feel customizable. The settings allow you to let the colors cycle through or you can choose one color to be static. Be sure to follow the directions and add the drops of soap after the water otherwise you may get bubbles. I added the soap after and the bubbles caused the jelly fish to float at the top the whole time and I couldn't really see them. Once I got rid of the bubbles they moved up and down exactly as they should. The fish, shark, and seahorse float around well but I did end up removing them and just using the jelly fish. The hard plastic of the fish made them clink along the sides and the noise was kind of distracting. Plus the jelly fish move in a much more fluid and calming motion. And the motor is SO quiet, I can barely even hear it. The lid isn't very secure as you can just lift it off, and there's a small hole in the top. It's also made of all plastic, and you'll have to change the water every so often to keep it clean. All in all this is fun to watch and would make a great gift for young and old alike!

The blower isn’t strong enough to keep the fish moving, there is a hole in the top of the lid so it will spill easily. Not as good as others I have seen. Jelly fish often ends up sitting at the top or stuck in the blower.

We love this lamp. Not going to lie, took a few days for it to really get set up. We had to get the distilled water, and then the water got cloudy for a few days, and then it cleared up and has been perfect since then. We did not put in anything other than the jellyfish. You really have to make sure that you get all the air bubbles out of them for them to swim correctly in the current. Once you do that, they are fun to watch, the lights on it are great. We all love watching this silly little lamp. Better than lava lamps!

Was very disappointed sent first one back only worked for a total of 5min..thought I'd give it a second try replaced with same one lasted a day and I followed instructions to the t was beautiful when I turned it on but with fan stopping the little fish floated to the bottom and jelly fish stayed at top so I'm ordering a different one hopefully it will work if not I give up
