Perfect weight, razor sharp, hefty blade will hack whatever you're swinging at. Handle is compact with excellent ergonomics, allows a firm grip and great control. Also very comfortable, with a fine finish; perfectly smooth with plenty of texture. The sheath is of fair quality, well made design and excellent craftsmanship, not the style I prefer but will definitely last.

The quality of the metal, and the thickness, is more durable than any knife or machete I have ever owned before. It is sharp enough to shave the hairs off of my arm. The blade is not much longer than a large bowie knife, but the thickness of the shaft causes it to hit very hard. This will easily slice through small branches, and if you use a large stick like a hammer, you could chop down many a small tree with this knife. The weight, and the balance are extraordinary. I originally ordered one for myself. But, I was so impressed with the knife, I ordered one more for each of my children. (Youngest is 17) This knife is not a toy, and not for children. But, for what I want and need, it is perfect! Camping, survival, etc. One knife that can do it all.

I searched long and hard to make sure I would find what I wanted. This machete/cleaver has a really nice heft. It is a single piece of steel, and the blade is nearly 1/4" thick at the widest point. It is heavy. It is not a knife, but the blade is very sharp, and the weight makes it ideal for chopping as well as cutting. The handle is made of wood and a little rough, but still nice. The sheath is leather and decent, although because of the weight, I wish it had a tie-loop at the end to make carrying it easier. For the price, I cannot think of a nicer blade.

Very nice machete. It's pretty heavy and the quality of the blade seems fine. My only problem was it wasn't as sharp as I'd like. Which was easily taking care of by sharpening it myself.

Ever been out in the woods camping or hiking and a hatchet is to big to carry around and the knife is to small to do the job. I introduce to you the Natchet. Half knife half hatchet. Don't get me wrong, I love my bushcraft knife and my viking hatchet but this baby is a perfect blend. Personally, it's the hiking it serves the best. Not too big but heavy duty. You'll have to sharpen it. The reviewers who say it's sharp obviously do not bushcraft. Great for batoning not for stabbing. Machetes are for jungles. You won't regret this purchase, you can pay $50 bucks for it on AliExpress..... go on.... look.

I do a lot of camping and backpacking. I have brought this machete with me on both. When you are in the backwoods and are able to start fires for your nighttime cooking or just normal warmth and enjoyment, it is important to have the means to obtain usable wood for the fire. There are many ways to do that, and a machete is just one of them. It is my preferred method. I do have compact thumb tree saws and foldable saws that work great as well, but having a large blade is useful in many other ways too. This machete is compact in comparison to others and has a great heavy-duty sheath that snaps at the handle and the side for great slip out protection and security. It fits great in my hands and feels comfortable when I use it. The spine is thick and extremely useful for whacking with another piece of wood for splitting logs down for medium sized kindling. The blade is and came out of the box super sharp. Stick into a good-sized piece of wood so you can make feather sticks, hack at branches on snags, or even use it to cut food for dinner. It is the right size for any job you might have while enjoying nature at your own pace.

Although I just received this "hatchete" I am very impressed with the quality, fit, balance and the sharpness upon arrival. I did touch up the edge a little but it would have been ok to use regardless. The sheath is heavy duty also, but not ambidextrous. The price for this is very reasonable. A true multipurpose tool. I recommend, and will leave a follow up to this review after some usage.

Nice tool. Night and day difference between the "black" and "silver" versions (I've owned both). The black version was more show than go. Painted black "accents" on the blade, plus the overall construction was much rougher than the silver version. Returned it. Silver version, (which I am keeping), looks and feels like you could stake your life on it in a survival situation. Or decapitating zombies if the need arises. Heavy duty construction. Time will tell but for the $$ seems like a no-brainer.
