bokman Type 2 EV Charging Cable, Mode 3 / 32A / 7.2KW / 1 Phase / 10 Meter, Electric Vehicle Car Plug-in Hybrid Type 2 to Type 2 Fast Charging Cable

Bought this cable in preparation for the arrival of my new (to me) car, a BMW i3 which doesn’t come as standard with a type 2 charging cable.I can’t obviously comment on it regarding operation but can make a comparison with the cable that came with my Nissan Leaf. Admittedly the Leafs cable is only single phase 7kW and this cable is 3 phase 22kW capable but the cable is considerably heavier and more sturdy and looks as though it will last indefinitely, the plugs look excellent quality and are guaranteed to survive being run over by a 2 ton car. I comes with a very nice quality zip case which has a rubberised bottom panel which should help it prevent sliding on the boot floor.Once I have the i3 I will update the review and comment on its usage, but first impressions are excellent so far and for under £85 has to be a bargain. 5*Additional: have used the cable on several occasions with my newly acquired BMW i3 and it has performed perfectly, my only gripe is the cable isn't very flexible at all and tries to keep its coiled up shape which can lead to it being a trip hazard when using a public charger as there is absolutely no way it can be made to lay flat on the floor.

Ordered a 10m long cable with type 2 connectors. Arrived very quickly. Excellent quality and includes a 12” x 12” carry bag with microfibres cloth for wiping when wet. Very neat for storage. Cable feels well made with end protectors.

This is something that if I needed it I would buy again. Better quality than the branded cable chargers, case it comes in is good and cut to the right length.

Great quality EV charging cable, the included carry pouch & microfibre cloth is a nice touch.

A neat and well presented package with velcro ties and zip bag for storage.Because of the power the lead has to carry yet remain flexible enough to coil tightly for storage, it is reassuringly heavy.The water resisting end caps to the plugs have sensibly long ties and can either be left to dangle or can be flipped around the cable so the cup shape doesn't fill with water if raining.There was no sign of warming from the heavy current and that was comforting to know because it proved the cable could carry the load, especially at the plugs.

Purchased for an MG NS plug in hybrid car and used with an Ohme EV home smart charger. Rubber covers for both ends and comes with a canvas carry bag. Really good value for money.
