This is a terrific outdoor security camera that has a remote-controlled movable camera and automatic tracking. It has a fixed solar panel to charge it, so it does not have to be brought in to charge or plugged in. There is a microSD slot for memory (the card is not included), or a subscription to a cloud service may be purchased. It is 2K, but very clear. There is a built-in light for security and alarm. Installation is simple and once the app is downloaded to your phone, setup is a breeze. Even night vision is very clear. Though there are many security cameras available, for the price, this is an outstanding buy.

So far, 5 stars! Easy to install, straightforward instructions, connectivity was instant. I cannot complain. I've had it for only several days so I can't give a longevity report, but I plan to in the near future. What I will add, is that so far it's working great and efficient and it covers quite a bit of space. It's about a 270° pan.... gives you plenty of space to be able to look at if you have a fairly large property to pay attention to. I have a small cottage house, but a large property, so I want to be able to see as much as I can on one side and then I'll get another camera for the complete other side. I'm so satisfied and I have to say the reviews are what sold me and many of them are accurate. I also like that you don't have to have a subscription, but I added the basic just because.

so far this is the best security camera I've had.. first you don't have to mess around with batteries and replacing batteries.. second seems to be good picking up the signal from the modem ... the quality of the recording is outstanding.. plus the intelligent camera capturing persons, motions and following them at they move... for homes ; really all you need two cameras one for the front yard one for the backyard..

Very good camera, clear picture and great tracking motion. A little slow but I believe it’s my internet that causes that . I bought one to test it and worked so well I thought I’d buy 4 more and suddenly Amazon said they can’t ship to my location in the Philippines. Okie dokie I’ll buy elsewhere then.

It's been a while since we purchased our cameras. We needed something that could keep a watchful eye on our yard and also be able to Pan and tilt around so we could check on the vehicles and side yard. After deciding on the AOSU PT security cameras they arrived quickly and excellently packed. Setup was as straight forward as any typical wireless device with no surprises. Both devices do have a fairly clear path to view the WiFi router, so you should keep that in mind while setting up, but there is a utility in the setup routine that helps to ensure there is adequate signal to the network. The app is easy to install and also straight forward to use. It allows you to utilize one app to manage multiple devices, so that made it easy when I needed to report an issue with one of the cameras. It's spot light function had stopped working. I did some troubleshooting on my own, installed updated firmware and coincidentally the light began to function again but within a few days the light stopped again. I contacted AOSU Customer Service was assisted by Julie. She was very helpful and responsive, with me being the only bottle neck. Once I checked the things she needed checked and provided information requested a replacement camera was sent. It just arrived this afternoon right as she had indicated. I anticipate no issues getting it installed and resuming the function as our backyard night watchman! Both cameras were installed using custom mounts to allow for as much visibility as possible. If it is dark and cloudy for days on end the cameras can begin to get low on battery but are usually able to remain fully charged, even with a giant bird turd smack in the middle of the solar panel as shown in the attached picture (thank you Tweetybird). I would recommend to anyone with similar needs.

I was questionable when I received this as you could tell it was obviously a return, but the packaging was still new and everything was still attached so we got it installed. The setup was very easy and it seemed that I could get reception pretty much anywhere on my deck so I was happy with that. Was super easy to set up and the picture qualities is great. We got this so we can monitor our cat outside in the catio. It did immediately ask me for a membership, but we decided to just install a microSD card instead for storage. It’s very functionable even without paying for a membership if you just want it for basic monitoring.. It seemed like it was kind of lagging you while we were getting it installed, but once I had it hooked up where it was supposed to be and left it alone, the lag time went away. I’m able to zoom in and out on my kitty and rotate it around my deck. It’s got a great view. The device seems sort of on the big side, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem for us.

Bought a single camera to see about creating a network of them but wanted to ascertain function and quality first. Installed on my front covered porch with a dedicated electrical connection instead of using the solar charging, using a new 32gig memory card instead of cloud storage, and it's on the free basic plan requiring no subscription. Overall the camera seems pretty good, it captures movement of people approaching my front door and placement of them allows me to see the vehicle they drove up in. It follows the person directly as they near the front steps and when departing then stays on wide view as they head down the driveway. The movement detect function is fairly high too as it will sense my neighbor mowing his lawn across all the way from across my lawn and driveway. BUT....but...it doesn't always capture everything during the day and nothing at night unless you're right next to the camera. For example today it recorded two different Amazon deliveries but failed at seeing my neighbor get the packages for me while I'm out of town. This is apparently normal operation for the camera because it happens constantly. I can get it to see me *sometimes* if I stand right by the cam and/or wave my arms. I believe the problem is low-light sensitivity as my neighbor arrived at dusk, and I've tested it myself by exiting my front door far which is about 15 feet from the camera after sundown and gotten zero reaction from it. But what good is a night vision capable security camera when it doesn't see things after dark? It's fine to see a delivery person in bright sunlight, it's the potentiality of criminals checking out my place after dark which is more important. A network of cams around my property which are essentially useless at night simply isn't tenable. Perhaps the IR detection simply isn't up to the task and I can find nothing in the settings or menus to increase sensitivity. Also the recording of events can be odd, it will show me events (such as the delivery people) but if I try to view the video later it's not there anymore, then trying again an hour later it reappears. It has also sometimes shown vids I've deleted from the card, and then they're not on the card a day later. So, while I generally like the camera and its functions if I can't trust it to work at night I won't keep it. It's too bad because the image quality is very good and it's easy to use manually to look around.

I've had it for more than a year now and am very pleased with it. Image quality is good and it mostly stayed charged via self charging during the summer, even though it's mounted in a shaded area. I get alerts and good equality video even while I was halfway across the country. Keep the solar panel clean and you should get reliable, maintenance-free service. I would recommend.

This is a good value for the price. It takes amazing footage and is very easy to connect to your phone so you can watch what is happening from wherever you have WiFi. The camera tracks movement, so that proves to be very helpful instead of having a static view. There is also a good field of vision that it covers enabling you to take in quite a bit of territory. There is also night vision so it can give you a clue about how that blasted porcupine is getting up in your fruit trees (why I bought it) and destroying them or for whatever night time vision you might need. I bought mine about a year ago and it performed well until winter when I shut it off and did not use it. When I went to hook it up again this spring, I could not get it to connect to WiFi. I wrote the company about it (because let's face it -- companies don't really want to talk to you anymore) and they got back with me the next day (wow). I answered a couple of questions from them and the day after that, they wrote saying they believed the item was defective and they were sending me a new model. It is due to arrive Friday. Their communications were professional and friendly and the English back and forth flawless. I am very impressed.

Love the camera, easy to install. Notifications are sent to my phone. Being based in Australia we get plenty of sunlight so the solar panel has no issues.

I bought this along with the along with the Eufy S340 and I think the AOSU Solar Camera is far better and much better value for money.
