Bought this at a local hardware store for less than the advertised price here, so do yourself a favor and shop around locally for better price. That said it is a very nice light. I am doubt of the 1000 lumen claim. The led might have that rating but I have a 250 lumen light that is significantly brighter. For the $20 I paid that doesn't bother me a bit because it is still a bright light that services very well. Seems like very durable construction of the body with a solid heft. Perhaps a tad heavy as I have this in a vehicle emergency kit and I could feel the added weight to the bag.The real selling point to me is the slides adjustable beam focus. As others have noted there is no center dark spot as so many other adjustable focus beams have. The flood gives a very even field and the spot has acceptable throw distance albeit not quite the brilliance I would prefer for a "1000 lumen" light. It is a clean white light.Overall the 4 star rating indicates and very nice, but not exceptional, light. If you can find it for $20 I paid snatch it up. At $30+ it's still a good deal.

I have been purchasing various forms of flashlights since the late 1940's and can honestly say this is the best I have ever owned. Powerful illumination, powerful deal, and powerful product. This IS a flashlight! No doubt about it.

The first time i replaced the 9 AAA's I mistakenly reversed 1 battery and it blew up inside ruining the clam shell

Very good flashlight. Very bright, heavy duty but not too heavy to hold. You can telescope the front out to make the beam of light wider or narrower as well. Love it!

I got one of these at work and showed my wife. She loved it and I bought it for her for Christmas. Rugged and great light for a dark night. Illuminates everything in immediate area. I carry one of these in vehicle for night work, very solid construction.

This light didn’t last very long. Thought it was a good buy. Now it flickers and shuts off. I kept it in my truck, used maybe 10 times. I guess there is a reason maglights are 3 times more $.

Really covers a large area and still stays bright enough to see.
