Perfect Little Kit
This is the first time I have purchased a gloucose meter for my cat, Patch.I find it is easy to use and gives good readings from a small amount of blood. It does switch off after 2 minutes but it is easy to turn back on and complete the test. The only reason that I am slow at taking the test on my cat, is because I am new to taking blood. I think that once I become more competent at taking blood, then the 2 minutes cut off won't affect me in the slightest.

Awful and stopped working two months into buying product
Does not give real readings. Keeps saying low which I adjusted the dogs insulin and made her really poorly. I tested with alpha track and this gave the true reading. I would not recommended and now I cannot return within even though faulty only two months into having the product. Waste of money!!

This saved my cats life last night!!
I purchased this glucose meter for my cat, as I was seeking a cheaper, accurate alternative to the alpha track 2. I already have the alpha track 2, however the test strips were very expensive. So I gave this a try, it is excellent! The plastic strips are reasonably priced and the are some much easier to collect the blood sample with, you can see the blood being absorbed, so know when you have enough, so not wasting expensive strips. I have found this meter extremely accurate. It saved my cat from going into a hypo last night! I am very pleased with my purchase and will not be returning to the expensive counterpart. An excellent little device that will not break the bank and is very reliable in terms of readings, which is the most important thing! Brilliant

Need to confirm accuracy but this seems a good device…
Vera pet vet is a blood glucose device suitable for dogs and cats. Draw blood from pet. Go through the setup of time/date and unit measuring preference (mmol or other?)To activate for dog, insert D25 to set up.For cat, insert C75 to set up.Insert test strip. Place blood on to the end of the test strip. 5 second countdown begins automatically and delivers the level. The accuracy needs to be confirmed by comparison with know veterinary standard device.Hardest part is getting blood sample….Hopefully, a sound investment?

Not user friendly
The instructions are unclear and the set up of the device complicated - I am unable to use it.

Fabulous
Fabulous kit. My cat developed diabetes and I was uncertain about this kit given the price but I gave it a go. It's been brilliant. Used every day to check my cats blood sugar levels and adjust insulin accordingly. My vet was charging far more for 1 blood test, and this kit does 25!Reliable results, my results were verified by my vet as trustworthy. I genuinely believe my cat would not be here now if it wasn't for this kit!100% recommended.

Battery missing and better instructions needed
No battery in package and found instructions hard. 3 attemps at doing and had to stop so cat not stressed. Plan to try again as new to it but not straightforward

Do not buy!! Consistently gives incorrect readings!!
I would advise against buying this product. My dog is diabetic had been seriously ill after surgery and developed pancreatis and ketones. I bought the machine to ensure he was on the mend but it instead nearly cost his life. The meter read lower than we would expect and action was taken to increase his levels as advised by the vet. However his glucose level didn't increase but tested at zero but he was having no hypo...i took him to the vet. And she used 2 meters and compared to mine. My meter read 18 and hers was 33.5!! My dog was seriously ill again!! I contacted The company and the response i received about their machine in comparison to the vets states "Research has shown that the CERA-PET compares very favourably with the Alphatrak as long as the blood sample is obtained properly and applied to the strip correctly (graphical comparison attached). However, the Alphatrak is less sensitive to dirt and blood sampling errors which is why you can get such variations."My vet took the sample from all meters and her 2 metres worked..mines was way off. I am disgusted and appalled and feel the customer service regarding the matter was shocking!! I was asked to test my own blood??? Eh?!? Why?it is not designed for us to use bit cats and dogs!?! They asked me to send it back and tgey would refund me! Keep the 20 quid but I hope others learn from my experience. I Will never rely on a home machine again would rather pay crazy vet bills and get to keep my dog. I gave it one star as I am unable to provide a zero score however my score is zero on every count. If you want your dog to live, don't buy this
