Q: I have reduced hearing on the left side, will these compensate?

Yes, you are able to turn up the volume to beyond normal noise level. Great for hunting. You can hear a deer walking from 50 yards out. Only problem is that you can't turn each individual ear piece up. You turn one up they both go up.

Q: I'm not seeing the aux port for connecting to a 2 way radio or other device, am I issing the location? I'll have to return them if it doesn't have it.

There is no aux port on this model.

The db ratings typically listed on hearing protection are NRR ratings. These do *NOT* reduce noises by that level. To determine actual noise reduction, you need to subtract 7 from the NRR, then divide it in half. An NRR of 23db will reduce noises by 8 db. Q: How many operating hours do you usually get on new batteries?

I don't count, but not change batteries year or longer, with every Saturday trainings for 4 - 6 hours.
