I’m very happy with this book/workbook. Following Ms. Finks instructions my Zentangels have improved. I’m surprised by reviews giving few stars because this is not a “book”. When I was thinking about buying this, it was clear to me this was a thin paperback workbook. I really like this book because I am not particularly creative in this way and she gave me lots of examples.

Cute booklet to give you some additional ideas

This book will take you tangling to a great new direction. I use it for a couple of days. then put it down for a bit ... then go back to it ... This will add freshness to your tangling. LOVE THIS BOOK! have pointed my tangling friends to it. 5-stars.

It's got some ideas but its kinda confusing.

Beautiful book! I love the instructions. Like giving away a very special secret to create some beautiful additions to your own art. I especially love the idea for painting the doorway. Definitely planning that for my daughters room. The practice sheets are nice too. Scan them so you can reprint copies to practice on over and over! This may be a "booklet" to some but the pages are worth more than you might think. I would definitely get the one with worksheets too since you can use them over and over by copying. I think that is a nice addition. Her tips for coloring are very helpful too.

Está lleno de ideas inspiradoras. Es un libro de sólo unas pocas páginas pero encierra un montón de ideas bellísimas y súper fáciles de ejecutar. Con este librito, aprendes a hacer doodles maravillosos. Lo recomiendo muchísimo!

A very good workbook. Joanne Fink explains very clearly how to create beautiful designs with dangles. I enjoyed creating designs using her instructions.

Gleich vorweg: das Buch ist in Englisch, nicht erschrecken. Und: nicht abschrecken lassen!!! Man muß den Text echt nicht lesen können, um die Methode dieser speziellen Zentangles zu verstehen. Die Art der Muster hebt sich von allen Zentangles und Mandalas, die ich bisher gesehen habe, ab. Das Prinzip der hier vorgestellten Arbeit ist auf dem Cover schon zu erahnen: freihandgezeichnete Quer- und Längsstreifen werden kleinteilig mit kleinen Musterelementen gestaltet und unterschiedlich kombiniert, schließlich gibt das akzentuierte Ausmalen nur einiger Areale ein Gesamtbild. Man gestaltet mit dieser Methode vorwiegend Zierränder oder Rahmen, kann aber auch Figuren, Buchstaben, Zahlen .....machen. Die Entstehung der Einzelwerke wird immer in etwa 5 Schritten zeichnerisch dargestellt, das ist selbsterklärend. Das ist auch ein großer Bonus des Heftes, man malt nicht irgendwas fertiges aus, sondern kriegt gezeigt, wie man ca. 10 verschiedene Arten von Motiven (obere Blattbegrenzungen, Seitenrandverzierungen, Rahmen, Buchstaben, Motive wie Vogel, Engel, Haus) aufbaut. Angefangen mit den Grundlinien zeigt die Autorin Schritt für Schritt, wie welche Elemente hinzugefügt werden. Etwas Verständnis und kreative Denkart können nicht schaden, wahlweise tuts auch die Fähigkeit zur Geduld ;) Übung im Zeichnen, ein geübter Linienschwung, ist auf alle Fälle hilfreich. Wer überhaupt noch niemals nicht gezeichnet oder gemalt hat, der wird evtl. frustriert, da die Beschreibung der Entstehungsschritte recht zügig vorangeht, was für Anfänger mglw. sehr (oder zu) schnell geht. Mir persönlich gefällt einfach diese Art zu zeichnen und zu zentanglen. Mit einem quadratischen Stück Papier von 11cm Kantenlänge, welches klassisch zentanglelich gestaltet wird, hat das hier wenig gemein. Wer also Ergänzungen zum klassischen Zentangle sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Ich hab meine helle Freude daran :)
