Excellent guide to learning C++ with modern C++
C++ has been around for a few years but many learn C++ books start in the same place they did 20 years ago. The language has evolved and changed, it no longer makes sense to start as if the language is simpy C with some extra bits.Instead, Buontempo starts in the right place: with the modern 2023 language. For those who come from an earlier version this probably looks advanced, but to someone who starts learning today streaming operators, lambdas and templates are just parts of the language to learn.Buontempo is an expert at this, she has serios experience both using the language, writing about the language and helping others explain the langauge. So she is an ideal teacher. While comprehensive this book isn't overwhelming. This is the book I will be recommending when people ask me "How should I learn C++" - in fact, I almost want to learn the language again to enjoy the book in full!

Clear and practical description of modern C++
This book is for persons who already know C++ but haven’t used it for a while. The author goes through the modern C++ through examples, and this pedagogical approach works really well. Probably not everything can be digested at one go, but it is easy to come back later to specific chapter and see how things were done. I strongly recommend this book as it teaches how and why certain features should be used.

Love letter to a simple, safe and fun C++
This is the kind of book we need for the next generation of C++ developers: fun to read, engaging (game-based) examples, up-to-date with C++23 and strongly focused on C++ best practices. This book shows that C++ can be simple, safe and fun to work with. The book is suited for everyone with some experience with C++ and everyone interested to get into touch with modern C++.
