Wood Pole Adaptor Tip

I love Ettore products, but I didn’t want to invest in a separate extension pole. This product fits my standard extension pole and adapts it to my window washing tools. I’ve used it several times and it seems to work great. I didn’t have to spend all that money on a second specialized extension pole. The product seems perfect for how often I’ll need to use it.

I purchased this since Unger does not make an attachment to allow their products to fit on an acme threaded pole. I had to shape it down a little on a sander to get the fit and drilled a hole to install the screw. Now I can install their nice accessories on a real pole.

It worked better than the poor quality Ettore squeegee I bought it for. Threads onto my ShurLine extention rod, and grips well enough via tension onto my squeegeeSince it is virtually all wood though, I'm dubious about what will happen when it gets wet. I expect it to swell and, given it's a pretty soft wood, I don't know how long it will last. Those are my only reservations.

Great for using long threaded sticks versus tapered! Came in super handy for squeeging epoxy floors. Just attach and apply a screw!

For a very lightweight use, perhaps OK, but the wood threads stripped out quickly for me after a couple hours of medium stress use (to lift a loper pruning head up to cut small finger sized branches of a softwood tree). If you buy this, think of it along the lines of window squeegee adapter and nothing more challenging than that (which is probably what they were intending this for). At $15 though I expected greater durability and so I erred in purchasing this product.
