My iPhone 6 suffers from the slowdown problem due to the aged battery. I did research online, and decide to change the battery by myself. This battery kit comes with everything you needed. The manual describe every step in details, but it would be a good idea to watch the Youtube video to make the installation easier. Everything goes well, except for removing the old battery, which is very time-consuming and easier to damage the phone. Otherwise, it is pretty straight forward. Now my iPhone is back to work with one-day battery life and faster speed.

My mother-in-law is a tough customer. She had been struggling with her iPhone 6's battery for some time and even tried to have Apple replace it, but they refused citing evidence of water intrusion into the case (why that would prevent them from swapping the battery is anyone's guess, but I digress). After having researched batteries on Amazon and elsewhere, I eventually settled on this kit and am glad I did. Replacement was a snap (though admittedly, I have done these swaps several times before) and the new battery works at least as well as the original. My mother-in-law is thrilled that she doesn't have to downgrade to a newer iPhone sans headphone jack.

I had replaced the cracked screen on my iPhone 6 previously, so figured replacing the battery wouldn't be a big deal, and I was right. Someone on one review recommended going online for information on how to replace the battery and not watching the Youtube videos, so I did and was able to use the step by step photos on how to replace the battery.To make it easy on myself I took a mayonnaise size jar and used a rubber band to hold the screen of my phone up while doing the replacement of the battery. It helped so I didn't have to actually remove the screen and also wouldn't damage the connections while doing the work.One note: do not puncture the battery with any metal objects while removing it from the housing. It will smoke and potentially start a fire.Make sure to drain the battery down almost completely before removing it from the phone to ensure it doesn't discharge on you.I let my new battery discharge completely so the phone shut down, then charged the battery completely and am on the next round of letting it discharge completely again. Do this several times to ensure the battery holds its charge the best possible way it can.This battery is performing exactly as a new battery would be expected to. I am able to do lots of searching, talking, or games on my phone and it has lasted well over a full day without charging. The battery from this seller is highly recommended and the kit was exactly what I required to do the replacement.

As other reviewers have suggested, parts are small and you need careful organization and patience. It is by no means easy to install for the first time but doable if you are careful. The metal phone case is not very strong, so careful not to bend it opening the phone up. A couple of connectors (home button, digitizer) did not click as other connectors did. The digitizer connector popped out as I tried to put the metal cover back on. The included tools worked fine, it would be nice if a spudger was included.I was not able to find any info on Shenzhen Toptechs Electronics Technology Co. Ltd. as printed on the battery. The phone first turned back on with 30% power of the new battery. I let it run down to 6% and charged it back up. The battery power now lasts a lot longer.[update] After a week and half and a few complete cycles, the battery held up even better. With the old battery the level would drop 10% sitting for an hour; with the new one after 12 hours overnight the level was still at 100% (see picture)! Great battery!

Was able to install the new battery with the kit included (for the most part). Be warned the kit does not have a "spudger" which is a crucial tool. And..the directions are tiny. Better to watch at least three different how to vids by three different people AND read the comments. It is important that screws go back exactly how they came out. I was lucky in that I did not have to remove screen to replace the battery. I was replacing a replacement battery and the person who installed had not used much sticky tape so it was very easy to remove. Be patient, work slowly, and good luck. If the battery doesn't last I will update my review.

just received and installed today. DEFINITELY use a blow dryer to warm the back of your phone to soften the glue holding the original battery in place. warm it as you pull the glue tab strips so they come out in one simple pull each. watch youtube to see how easy it is to do on your own. took less than 30 minutes start to finish.battery came 40% charged, will use the phone as normal and report back in several months with good or bad news

I read many of the reviews for this product prior to ordering. I had very similar results, ordered my battery kit, watched the YouTube video, took me about 30 minutes to get the battery replaced. The process went fairly smooth, thanks for the two sets of adhesive strips. I only have one tip to add, the factory adhesive strips had two tabs sticking out from under the end of the battery away from the screen connections, you could possibly pull these tabs and pull the adhesive from beneath the battery, the adhesive strips , those in the phone and those supplied with this kit are similar to the “command strips” you’re able to remove them by stretching the adhesive. I used the heat gun method described in the you tube video. I didn’t know to look for the tabs attached to the adhesive strips. Hope this helps. Worse part was removing the old battery, thank you to the person who suggested using a jar & rubber band to hold the screen while removing and replacing the battery. Saved having to deal with all the connectors associated with the screen. Prior to this battery replacement, I was having to keep the phone connected to an active charger. With the new battery: at 8 Am at 100% to 8:29PM at 50% I think my phone is actually better than when new!
