Not like fresh in New York, but not bad at all.
I had planned to make some stuffed shells for my husband, but he is tired of pasta during this pandemic, so I found these online so I could use the ricotta I had bought for the pasta. Contrary to some of the other reviews, they arrived unbroken although the packaging was only a plastic tray with nothing to keep them from coming out of their individual spaces. There were some crumbs in the box, but none of the shells was broken. It could be that they are a little thicker than fresh made shells would be, and that would help keep them from breaking. The flavor was good, the date of expiration was well into the future, and I just ordered another box. They made for a perfect although unorthodox lunch during this time.

The cutest little cannoli shells. Love them!!
I like these mini cannoli shells better than the big ones. The big ones I bought elsewhere were destroyed in shipping. These broke a little on the ends, but only a couple of them. And still usable. We ate up three boxes in a couple of weeks. Two bites each and yummy!!! Highly recommend!!

A bargain for $6.99!
UPDATE (Sept 2020): I order 2 more sets (pls see pic #4 and #5) and this time I also ordered with 10" Lodge Cast Iron Skillet. I was worried because Amazon had packaged them together and knew it wouldnt be a good idea to put these 2 together. The Cast Iron skillet was about 8pounds in the same box with these 2 cannoli shells. On the photo, you can see that one of the boxes had extensive damage from the weight of the skillet. Upon opening, there was only 1 cannoli shell that was damaged and I ate it!. Again, the expiration was 2021! So i bought a total of 5 boxes already. We also love that these are 2-3bite cannoli and not overwhelming than its bigger brother!WRITTEN (AUG 2020): First of all, making the cannoli shells are laborious. If youre a novice, youll learn that the successful cannolis shells are specific to their thickness and wrapped on the metal shells upn frying. Because if theyre NOT, they will start to open regardless of how strong you pinch them together to close. To acheive this, youd need a sheeter or a pasta maker to put your dough through the sheeter to acheive the desired thickness. In the beginning, I was hesistant to order these because of some reviews that theyve received their order with almost half damage and another case thay they claim these are expired. I ordered 3 boxes to account for the 30-40% damages of the shells and received them yesterday Aug24,2020. My 3 boxes as seen on the pics ALL have the expiration of 2021. and out of the total 30 mini cannolis, only 1 was damage (see the bottom middle). a very handful (like 4-6) had 'chips" or knicks on the edges that I considered miniscule because once youve piped the ricotta in, these imperfections will be covered. Of course, nothing compares to home made version that is fresh but this is an excellent alternative that still maintains the flavors and especially the texture. These boxes of course comes in sealed and if they were expired, i would NOT even try to open and taste if they still have the texture to begin with.

Well packaged mini desserts
So I bake banana bread and cupcakes, and I recently decided to expand my venue to include cannolis, and when I found these online, I was super excited because they're just small enough to fill with filling, but not too large. I feel like they would be a great banana bread stand size. I was a little bit nervous after reading some reviews about completely broken packages of shells, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that all but one of them came in great condition. You can tell they bounced around their container a little bit, but 23 of the 24 survived intact and the 24th just has a little break in the top fold. Not enough to where it's unusable though. Altogether, I'm very happy with these, and I can't wait to fill them and see what people think! The smell of the shells when I opened the package makes me think of cinnamon sugar, which is actually a really great scent to have in a pastry shell. So I'm very pleased with that, too!

Easy and convenient for the price!
They turned out amazing! I don’t really want to go through the trouble of making the dough and then frying them so this is an easy alternative. For the filling, grab a 32oz of riccotta cheese and drain it really well, add in 1 to 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and chocolate chips. I bought 2 packs the first time, and i just bought 4 more packs that are on the way! They were misplaces which is to be expected from delivery but they didn’t came broken because they are sturdy!

Tasty, but terribly packaged
These were very good, and I would order them again/give a higher rating, if they were packaged more carefully. The inside plastic was molded to hold them, but the height of the box left too much room for them to jump out of their respective spots. I had a few that were broken off at the ends, with crumbs spilling out. The box is meant for displaying on a shelf, but not meant for shipping. If you're looking to have a nice dessert to display, I would recommend checking how they are packaged for shipping.

Will Order Again!
I haven’t had a decent cannoli since I moved to WA from NY. These are authentic. Brought back memories of cannoli’s I used to get growing up in the Bronx. Flavor was very good and tasted fresh. The mini size was perfect! Piped in homemade filling and had a wonderful dessert. As for the packaging..I wished they had been bubble wrapped. I only lost two per box (ordered 2 boxes - just in case one box was crumbles), but there are others, I read, that were crushed. So packaging should be addressed. Oh, and make sure the date stamp is for the current year or into next year. I read some received expired shells.
