National CycleVStream Windscreen (Standard) (Clear) Compatible with 06-12 Yamaha FJR1300A

I'm a half-helmet rider on high speed rural ranch roads. The VStream design works exactly as advertised to eliminate buffeting and provide a totally calm space, while still remaining 4" under line of sight for great road knowledge (critical here with the wildlife). Moving it up or down (FJR1300 Yamaha - electric control), you can direct the side flow up or down to cool in the summer. It does not jiggle like the factory shield.

I'm 6'3". I wear an MX helmet (and safety glasses) for commuting. The stock windscreen sent wind straight into the opening of my helmet when I sit upright, and was hard to tuck fully behind. The tall version is easy for me to tuck behind and only sends wind at my head when down. It might even be a bit TOO tall for me, but good for folks who like to ride without gear on.Installation was easy - there's two 3mm allen screws on the bottom of the front of the screen; I took those out and pulled up on the decorative cover on the screen mount to lift it off, exposing seven cross head screws that hold the screen to the mount. A good philips driver and a firm hand backed these out without damage, though a proper JIS driver is better. From there, the new screen was a direct install replacement, and a perfect fit. Only other tip would be to have a dish on hand to put the screws in, and work on a clean surface where it is easy to find dropped screws - the two that hold the cover on are almost impossible to hold onto while removing.

I’m 6’3” and this blocks the wind beautifully for me. My wife doesn’t notice much difference on the back. Fit perfectly and isn’t too ungainly when fully lowered.

Bought this for my 2007 Yamaha fjr. Works better than I expected it to. With the screen all the way up, it blocks enough wind to keep my head from bouncing around and reduces the wind noise so I can hear my Bluetooth headset in my helmet (for music). It also does a fantastic job on those cold days and I couldn’t ride without it. During the summer it does obviously block more wind than you might want it too, even with it all the way down. But for me, it’s not so bad that I’m going to switch out to the stock screen or anything. I like to be able to hear my music in my helmet and this screen blocks enough wind (up or down) to allow me to do that. Sturdy as well and does not seem to scratch up easily. I’ve washed it several times and so far it still looks like new.

Im 6'2", and this shield made a world of difference over the stock screen for me. I may switch to stock in the summer but on the cool days this really takes the wind off of you. If your looking for a quiet ride, this is also the answer, all you can hear is the engine.

this windshield was a great swap on the FJR from the stock windscreen, and removed some of the noise. One drawback, being 5'9" i look thru and not over the screen at it's highest position.

This is almost identical in size to the tall stock windshield. It folds forward though, seems much taller, and you can lower it below eyelevel. It deflects more air than the stock shield, is sturdier, and doesn't flex near as much. The mounts flex though, so it can never be rock solid like a cruiser windshield.

Much better than my previous windscreen. There is a little bit of flex when in buffeting wind but nothing disturbing
