It does lengthen and thicken your lashes, I wish I had purchased it in brown because the black is a little harsh at my age. That being said, it does do what it says it's going to do. I am writing this review long after I purchased it and it did last a long time. Only just now replacing it after months of using it. It was a good value and now that they offer it in brown, I will be purchasing it again. Unfortunately, just like every other mascara I've ever tried, it does smudge. But it is better than most. Try it. You may like it. I did enough to buy it again

I love this it makes my lashes look so much longer and stays on for a very long time. It just is quite clumpy and thick on my lashes so I do need to use a lash declumper tool so my lashes don’t look too clumpy. Although very good product for its price and how long it makes my lashes look

I stumbled upon this product after seeing a social post asking what mascara people liked. It wasn't a sponsored post so it included a wide range of price points and features like tubing, waterproof, etc... This one was actually mentioned several times so I decided to look it up. Since it's was pretty inexpensive relative to the luxury brands, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying it and seeing if the recs were right. Imagine my surprise to now discover this as my new favorite!!! It lengthens and separates and doesn't require multiple coats to do so. It doesn't flake like Thrive, my prior favorite. Stays on all day which means it does require a little effort to remove at night -- nothing special, just a make up wipe or wash cloth, but I have to focus on my eyes a little more than with other mascaras. I'll gladly take that extra time in exchange for an inexpensive, high performing, long lasting product!

Makes my eyelashes look so long. Not clumpy. I ever got it as a gift for my mom and she assumed it was pricey for how good it is. She now also buys it. I wish it wasn’t so toxic. You can definitely smell the toxins but most make up is and I mean it’s five bucks so….

I love this mascara! It goes on smooth with no clumps. It lengthens your lashes and makes them look so nice. You can't beat the price either.

My daughter-in-law recommended this mascara a couple of years ago, and I’ve been using it ever since. I was especially impressed by the price—under $5! Before discovering this, my favorite mascaras were L’Oréal Voluminous and Thrive, and in my opinion, this applies similarly to both—you can build your lashes up as much as wanted. Amazon occasionally offers limited-edition gift sets that include all the formulas—regular, waterproof, curl and volume, and primer—for around $15. I tell all my girlfriends about these deals, and half the time they tell me they already use this mascara. It’s a popular product for a reason. My routine is to apply a base coat of the regular formula and then add a coat of waterproof on top. This combination lasts all day and is much easier to remove at night than using the waterproof formula alone. I’ve never experienced the flaking or smudging mentioned in some of the 3- and 4-star reviews. To be fair, I’m not a swimmer, boater, snorkeler, or scuba diver, so I can’t speak to how it performs during water activities. I can say, however, that it easily survives a hot day and plenty of perspiration without any issues. My advice? Give it a try. If you love it, you’ll save a lot of money compared to higher-priced brands. If you don’t, you’re only out about five bucks!
