I have a large orchid collection and grow many of my orchids in clear plastic pots. Doing so helps me to see the roots to be sure they are healthy and to keep an eye on the orchid media to be sure it is not decomposing which is hazardous to good root growth.This is a nice strong clear orchid pot with significant drainage which is needed to be sure that the media is not constantly moist. It has three rows of slitted holes around the perimeter of the pot. If growing in a bark media this much air flow may sometimes dry out the bark media. When growing with a media of sphagnum moss however having this much drainage around the edge is essential to be sure a large pot of moss is not constantly wet.The drainage on the bottom of the pot is superb. It has a cone shape in the middle which is vital to ensure good drainage and rather than holes this pot has long slits to be sure the water drains properly.Included with the four pots are four saucers. Saucers are almost always not included and if they are the saucers are not always sized properly. The saucers included with these pots are of a good size and best of all have tall sides making them quite deep and able to hold a sufficient amount of runoff.The pots are not flimsy they are quite strong. This is a great set of four pots with saucers in a size perfect for anyone with a larger orchid.

These 8inch pots are perfect for not only larger orchids but other plants that need a lot of space to breathe. They come with sturdy saucers as well and are a fantastic value.
