Gallium Metal 10g 99.99% Pure, Low Melting Point Liquid Metal

Arrived in time for grandson's science project and was a hit with the class.

Fun to play with and safe to handle. Great for science needs, of which I am one. Fast shipping and well packed.

The media could not be loaded. I would give 5 stars if the product was sold with the correct weight. 9.1g folks. Not 10g. Maybe it’s 10g with the container, but mine was 9.1g. It made Galinstan, which is a safe substitute for mercury, made of gallium, indium, and tin. Liquid Metal at room temperature, so it’s good, but light.

Exactly what was advertised.

to be fair, I bought this only out of curiosity, it arrived relatively quick considering its point of origin, I tried warming up the plastic jar it came in with a heat gun to melt it since some had stuck to the edge, no luck with that, I didn't want to melt the plastic jar, so I cut it open, removed the metal and put it in a glass beaker, the thin layer of metal that was stuck to the inside wall of the plastic jar never came off, I was hoping it would gather itself if I rubbed it together, once I transferred it into glass, I placed it outside and left it, when I checked it about an hour later, it was all melted and flowing freely (not sure how long it actually took) BUT... I swished it around in the glass and it kinda "painted" the glass with a layer of chrome, so now if I pour it out of my glass container, its going to leave a layer all the way up and my gallium will diminish, maybe I'm not understanding this metal fully, but there is no way I'm putting it my hand like in the picture! interesting item, I personally just don't know what to make of it, or do with it,

I like how it comes with little molds to put the gallium in to make shapes. Very fun
