Illuminator Tide Graph Moon Phase 10-Year Battery Digital Watch

I bought this Casio because I'm enjoy time at the Ocean as well as tracking the phases of the Moon. Both the tide tracker and Moon Phase display seem fairly accurate to me once you set them up properly. I wore this watch on a beach vacation recently, and swam with it in the ocean, still works great. If you have a smaller wrist, it definitely wears a little big, but it doesn't bother me too much. It's a Casio, so just like most of them, the value for your money is great. Set it once and it just starts keeping accurate time. They make great watches.

Casio is known for their great watches at cost-effective prices and they did not disappoint with this watch. It will show you the current moon phase and the current tide in your area (after you set it up). The watch comes in resin with faux "screws" on the front bezel, including a protruding top and bottom, much like their G-Shock line. While the watch isn't at the G-Shock level, it's certainly a durable resin watch that sits comfortably on your wrist. Because it's resin, it's light weight even though it has a relatively large case. The digits are decently sized and legible. The illumination on the watch at night is sufficient to read the time at the bottom of the display, which is where the two LED lights are placed (left and right bottom). In addition to the tide and moon phase, this watch also includes a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, hourly signal, and dual-time (world time). It also has an analog-like circular clock on the top right for effect. This watch is also the same size as the Casio AE1200 (known by many as the "Casio Royale") so you can swap out the module inside the case between the two watches. Instead of doing this, I purchased an after-market case and bracelet and installed the module in it. Now I have a stainless steel case and bracelet with a sapphire crystal. I look forward to having this watch for many years to come. If you are looking to add another watch to your collection or you're looking for your first watch and you don't care as much about world-time but want a similar design to the Casio AE1200 and think knowing the moon phases and tides would just be icing on the top, this is the one. I would highly recommend this watch. What are you waiting for?? :-)

This watch looks great and feels durable. The display is easy to read, and the light works well at night. I also like the extra features like the tide graph and moon phase. Great quality and value.

A good watch

Solid casio piece, but plastic case detracts from the watch. A metal or gshock style case would work better. Watch band is stiff and extremely uncomfortable.

I surf fish and live in South Carolina. Once you dial in the coordinates on the watch for your location it tells you the tides. Great little watch.

If the point of getting this watch is tide and moon phase tracking, find something else. There is no manual way to "tune" these phases. It's all based on static, internal logic. As such, for example the moon phase, this watch will drift up to 1.0-1.5 days per year. So if moon phase on the watch is accurate now. Give it 2 or 3 years, and the moon phase will clearly be off by several days, just under a week. And there's no way to "re-calibrate" or tune it to the correct phase. And, because tide is connected to moon phase, you'll see drift in that information just the same. This is not a life-time product. It's a year-or-two product. So if you're okay with having it accurate for only a year or two, this could be the purchase for you. Otherwise, find something else. If I'd known this ahead of time, I personally wouldn't have purchased it. I like having things for long term. And for a product which advertises "10 year battery life" and not "will only be accurate up to 2 years!", it feels like a scam. I will be returning it.

What can I say, it’s the perfect daily driver. The watch is extremely comfortable, the watch is effortlessly executed, the moon phase and the tide graph is accurate, can leave it on for hours on end and won’t feel uncomfortable, definitely rivals the Ae1200, perfect addition to my collection
