If you question whether or not the world is flat, this is a great read.

Some of these proofs were the best they had at the time, for example, going up in a hot air balloon and seeing no curvature. Now we can fly up to 80,000 feet and still see a flat horizon, or send a weather balloon even higher and see the same. So the proofs stand the tests of advancement! It’s a great book, putting forth reality as we know it to be. Also, none of the objectors of Carpenter’s time were able to write a single rebuttal, even though he begged them to send one in if they so desired. I recommend reading this book and thinking through the proofs honestly.

Is it round or flat? I like to believe it is flat and that concept bothers me not the least. I say turn those launched telescopic cameras back toward the earth and let us have some untouched views of the beast. Only then will lies and confusion cease!

All we know about the Earth is what NASA tells us and NASA has been known to exaggerate and downright lie in the past. Many people, especially outside of the US, do not believe we ever landed on the moon. The 100 proofs the Earth is flat blends into this theory, and given the math about the earth's diameter, etc., one has to wonder what is really up there

Bought this book as a joke for one of my friends. Book was in great condition, and the contents within are hilarious.I would not recommend this as a serious book however, and also beware that this is a fairly thin book, not even 100 pages long. However if you're looking for a great gag gift or even a bizarre novelty item to keep in your house, this is certainly a creative and interesting item to purchase.

Excellent true earth book

Good comedy book. Fun to see how people 150 years ago were lead to believe a set on nonsense theories. Interesting the referral to modern day "believers", there are the references to the actual Facebook pages where still today people "debate" around these topics, without any factual background

This is a very interesting little book that will get you thinking, but the author is also very funny and enthusiastic which made it lovely to read.

Refreshing insight into the possibility of a "globular" earth mercifully free of scientific equations. Great read includes journalistic and scientific response to the flat plane notion .Still resonates today.
