This book by Hermione Waterfield and co-authored Christopher Forbes present us with a beautiful selection of exquisite eggs and other decorative pieces made by Peter Carl Faberge, maker of objets de luxe for the Imperial Russian Family in the late nineteenth century. Luscious photography as well as detailed descriptions and provenance of each piece is provided as well as the fascinating history behind many of the pieces.Excerpted from the inside flap:All the works presented are from the collection of FORBES Magazine, the most important holding of Faberge's Imperial Treasures outside of the Soviet Union.
