Hormann KTAF 1 Universal Canopy Bow Arm for Canopy Garage Doors automatic electric openers

Good and sturdy, seems well made enough, perhaps a bit too well made. Quite a heavy assembly which is good for the customer. Not much to go wrong fitting, extra self tapping bolts were included. Proper job!

First impression is a positive, the unit looks sturdy and well made. The installation was reasonably straightforward, not too difficult. The instructions could do with being a little more detailed with clearer illustrations, for this reason I had to take down the unit and reverse the "carriage" but that said, its a nice unit. Good value, you need a canopy door bracket KTAF 1 if fitting on a canopy door.

My garage has a canopy door with vertical tracks, which strained to open and close without the Bow Arm, but now that the Bow Arm has been fitted, the door opens and closes perfectly.Incidentally, I fitted a door opener for my parents years ago, and found that I didn't need the Bow Arm. On looking at the difference, theirs has a horizontal track.
