Didn't want to pay the resmed proprietarty price for a commodity item so I hooked this up with a few short hoses and took it on vacation hooked to my air mini. Air conditioned room for 4 weeks and no dry throat. Just make sure to replace it

I love my Z2, but my throat gets too dry overnight without this Heat Moisture Exchanger. Sometimes it is not enough if the air is super dry. But I found that if I breath into it several times before turning on the CPAP machine it will last through the night. This seems to "preload" the HME with extra moisture to give it a bit of a head start. I won't use my machine without one.

Work great, helps with moisture in my cpap line. Add a little water in the sponge and helps with dry mouth

Still trying to find a HME that works. These are not it. Don’t waste your money.

Update to the previous low rating. The company responded to my review and have since updated to individual packaging. That is a game changer since the units worked as expected. I’m editing from one star to 4. I am impressed with how they responded to my complaint. Previous text These worked but were not individually packaged. It is important that they be sealed individually to keep them sterile as they absorb moisture and allow bacteria to grow. They weren’t even in a resealable bag. I had to transfer to a freezer bag and freeze immediately, taking one out as needed for use. I will not purchase again unless the item indicates that they are packaged individually.

Great product - works with travel CPAP.

I used these with my Resmed mini with nose pillows and they worked perfectly. No nose or mouth dryness. I like that they are now individually wrapped and can avoid any contamination and are fresh until opened. I use an aftermarket tube which they also fit I do feel they are overpriced however.

These work but if you plan to use them inline with a ventilator circuit forget it. I don’t normally use these for that purpose but my patients supply company had the regular HME’s we use on backorder. These work but definitely are substandard in quality and use. My patient is on a ventilator full time and during the day he uses these while out in the community at night he uses regular humidification that’s set up on his bedside ventilator. When we got these in they all come in the same bag not individually wrapped. In use they didn’t really help him retain as much moisture during the day and he was experiencing a dry throat and his voice was dry half way through the day. Normally he goes well into the nighttime with our normal HME’s with no issues. In a pinch we’d use them but definitely not my first choice. Also we had to use different connectors to fit this inline on his circuit because one end has an ID measurement of 25mm on one side and 15mm on the other, Our normal ones have a ID measurement of 15mm on one side and 22mm outer diameter on the other. That may be important to some people here.
