Does not hold much weight.
When I let it released the lock, the whole thing came crashing down. Thank God I was not under it!

Easy to install and works as advertised
I love this product. It was a straight forward install with easy to follow instructions.Six 6 foot folding tables @31 lbs each for a total of 186lbs. My dewalt 20v drill was still able to hoist these tables into the air with no issues.I would have given a 5 star but one of the lag bolts head snapped off and one of the bolts in the kit was longer than the rest.

Came Crashing Down
Item was raised and lowered less than six times. The most recent time while getting ready to close the locking mechanism, the system failed and the entire platform came shooting down. Fortunately I was not underneath and fortunately nothing dislodged onto me. The platform and ceiling rail are both bent. Installation instructions were followed and stored buns were all weighed with a household scale so as not to exceed weight limits.

Product dimensions misleading.
I purchased this before it was updated to say 4x4, and it was preordered before it became available, to be available in a month or so. Lo and behold it was shipped within a few days, and it was 4x4. It did say 4x8, and the product dimensions said 48x96. Im disappointed because I thought I was getting a 4’x8’ platform, and only received the version depicted, as. 4’x4’. As a unit, it does work well, however the platform is a little weak, it could definitely use some strengthening. Still, I feel misled and disappointed being looped into preordering a product becoming available marginally soon, only to receive a product within a few days that was not as described initially. If someone could contact me from the company to come to some sort of resolution I would greatly appreciate it.

Drops suddenly
When I unhook the lock the racks drops from the ceiling suddenly. This is with and without any weight on it.Thank goodness bronco hard tops are tough - this faulty lift dropped it straight to the ground.
