I thought this might be a bit cheap 'n' cheerful given the price, but it looks like a sturdy well designed bit of kit. Takes 2xAA batteries (included) and the green self-levelling laser guidelines are very clear and easy to see. Reasonably Lightweight (11g), it also comes with a mounting thread underneath to attach it to a tripod or it will sit on any surface larger than a few inches. Unit is waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, wear resistant and impact resistant. Overall, great value for money and a useful addition to my toolbox.

I am building an extension onto my house (self build) and I was struggling with spirit levels and tapes to get heights and dimensions accurate. This laser is very low cost compared with others in the class, yet it is a really good tool. The laser is accurate, the self levelling system works well, and the laser itself is very bright, so much so that it is visible outdoors in full sun at at least 10m (that's as far as I have gone so far). The included mag mount is ideal for attaching it to steels. There are three laser settings - crossline (vertical and horizontal beams), and either horizontal or vertical only. The self levelling system can be locked to enable you to set an angle if you want to, and my only criticism would be the lack of a graduate rotating bubble to allow the user to set an angle directly on the device, rather than having to use an external means of getting the angle right. However, for what this costs, you can't beat it - well made, and does everything that most DIYers and many professionals would need.

Bought this after reading reviews to wallpaper a very uneven room. (Floor slopes). Being me I couldn't live with it not being vertically straight. It moved with each step in the room but I managed to get the first piece on nice and straight. Then used the horizontal line to keep it level across the wall. Its worked wonders. It'll be used on picture rail and tiling next. People mention the battery case is weak and breaks easily, but this one doesn't seem it, so maybe its been updated.. 2 AA batteries come supplied, but these are cheap so won't last long. The green light is barley visible in strong sun light (coming in from the window). But general day time light you can still see it. Has a lock feature for transportation so the pendulum doesn't break and for manual leveling... All in all not bad for the money.

I've been using this laser level for a few weeks now, and while it does the job, it has some pros and cons worth noting. Pros: 1. Indoor Visibility: Indoors, the green laser is bright and visible, which makes it easier to see the lines from a distance. 2. Pulse Mode: The pulse mode is a nice feature for extending battery life when used with a detector, although this feature may be more useful for professionals who have a detector. 4. Build Quality: The unit feels sturdy and well-constructed, with a durable outer casing that seems to hold up well to minor drops and regular use. The lock is useful when storing. Cons: 1. Short Battery Life: The battery life is relatively short, especially if you’re using it frequently. I found myself recharging batteries more often than I’d like. 2. Limited Range: Outside, without a detector, the range is somewhat limited, especially in bright environments. 3. Mounting Options: The mounting options are a bit limited. The included magnetic base works but isn’t very strong, so it doesn’t hold well on all surfaces. I mainly use a camera tripod. 4. Visibility Outdoors: While it’s bright indoors if there’s bright sunlight when using outside it's very difficult to see the laser. Overall, the Huepar BOX-1G Green Laser Level is a decent tool for the price, especially for casual DIYers. However, for more demanding projects or professional use, the limited range, battery life, and mounting options might be frustrating. If you’re looking for a reliable laser level for occasional use, this one is worth considering, but there may be better options available for heavy-duty or frequent use.

I have had a lot of lazer levels in my time, an most, have been terrible! This one though, it has a light that is strong, an clearly visiable, a clear winner over all the other levels i have had in the past! Its excellent light makes leveling a lot lot easier, its ability to self level, or, be used at a self set angle makes it extremely versitile. Controls are a bit of a pain, but, they do work if followed correctly. I do recomend this over device over ALL the other levels i have tried to use in the past. Its good, its cheap, it works, perfect!

I bought the Huepar Cross Line Laser Level (B011G) so that my husband could more effectively install a 100-inch projector screen on a wall. He mounted this lightweight device to a tripod for extra stability. The brightness of the green beam and the overall accuracy was very good. However, he felt that the procedure took longer to complete due to the necessary manual adjustments. He said that this laser level was value for money, but he preferred the (more expensive) professional high accuracy laser level that he used in the workplace - naturally!
