The ANC is just wow!
I've been wearing Skullcandy Dime earbuds for forever it seems like, so I don't really have a true basis for comparison for a quality set of headphones like this. My Dimes are cheap, available everywhere, have good battery life and terrific sound quality for being so small. Don’t let my frugal sense of earwear fool you though. I spent the better part of my youth and just about every dime I earned before the age of 21 on building out mobile sound systems for myself and friends. I know quality sound when I hear it, and having sampled numerous different styles of earbuds, I can say without hesitation that there are some serious duds out there. I would imagine there are many out there like myself who would love to try out a true audiophile experience via a set of headphones. However that fear of ending up with an expensive pair of duds has probably prevented you from taking the plunge. Well not to worry my frugal friends, SoundPeats has you covered. The Bluetooth pairing is a simple as anything you've done before. The battery life is fantastic, and the headphones are very light. The real magic though is in the automatic noise cancelling technology. This set of headphones offers three modes. Standard, which simply plays whatever music or sounds you are sending while outside noise is mechanically blocked by the headphone's materials. 'Passthrough' mode uses the built in mic to pick up outside sounds and passes them through to you simultaneously with your music. This is helpful when you still need to hear the world around you (kids anyone?) while enjoying whatever it is your listening to. And then there is ANC ON mode. This is where the magic happens. When you first drop into this mode, all sounds outside fade to nothing in about a second. It's almost an almost disorienting experience when it hits you the first time if you are not expecting it. Outside sounds and noises are measured by the mic, then opposing sound wavelengths are generated by the headphones to bounce against and cancel those outside sound wavelengths before they reach your ears. It is literally as cool as it sounds (see what I did with that pun?). ANC tech isnt new, but its new to me and what great price to get it at. You can also put them on without any music and still enjoy the benefits of the ANC tech. It would take a much heavier pair of passive earmuffs to give you the same level of silence.Battery life is great. I plugged them in for a charge while I typed up this review, and they were back fully charged in only about ten minutes. Keep in mind that I had these on all day today while I rode on my lawnmower, used the leaf blower, weeded eater and all the usual outdoor noisy tasks. While the ANC tech can't possibly completely block out noises that loud, it does quite an amazing job of making the noise only noticeable instead of painful, and I still got to enjoy my podcasts. You see, I have tinnitus, probably from those years to tuning and jamming to mobile sound systems without any form of protection. I usually wear my Skullcandy Dimes underneath a pair of full-sized earmuffs for protection when I do yardwork like I did today. However, today, I only needed my SoundPeats and my ears are fine after a very noisy environment most of the day. And yes, I wore them loud and proud despite the slightly feminine beige color. I'm telling myself it is khaki instead.

Fallen in love with this
I have a JBL Tour One M2 and Acrux headset and this is the third one that I am going to use. JBL First and foremost, I loved the way the packaging comes. It is not difficult to open at all and yet gives a premium feel. This is what I would say about the different features:1. Battery - The JBL Tour that I have supports upcoming Bluetooth LE mode and I have pixel 7 Pro that works with BLE. With all that power-saving advancement, it gives a 50-hour usage time. Soundpeats just hits it out of the park with over 120 hours. It doesn't use BLE but just raw horsepower of a 10,000 mAh battery. The benefit is that I can achieve that kind of usage on any phone and not just a BLE-supported one.2. Multiple phone support - Soundpeats supports connecting to two phones at once. The process is simple, connect to one phone, then either turn off BT or disconnect and bring it back to pairing and connect 2nd phone. Then turn the first one back on. The transition between phones is seamless and at par with the JBL Tour. The only difference is that JBL Tour gives a notification on which device is enabled when audio is switched.3. Adaptive EQ - The headset supports adaptive EQ that sets up the EQ based on the wearer's hearing ability. It makes you take a hearing test for different frequencies and sets up the eq on that basis.4. Noise cancellation and passthrough. - Although JBL has more features w.r.t. adaptive noise cancellation, I liked the simple but more effective noise cancellation of Soundpeats. The external noise is muted quite well to the extent that you may not be able to hear what people next to you are saying.5. Bass - I like a higher bass on my phones/speakers. I have a few pieces of music that are called "Woofer Destruction Mix" as it tests the bass capability of the speakers. Most earphones I have had tend to start cracking, but the 40mm driver was able to handle as much bass and volume as I could throw at it.6 Range - The documented range is 20-20K but I tested and the speakers went as low as 12 hertz. The treble range is difficult for me to say as I could hear it up to 20K while losing some sound between 14-15k. Not sure if that was the headset or my ears. Try the "Ultimate Headphone test" on YouTube to get an idea of the quality of this product. Finally, the sound level of the headset is also very high. Overall, honestly, I am positively surprised by the overall quality to the extent that I would now consider other Soundpeats earphones as well.
