Language problem
The author intended to make it an easy to read book and it largely achieves that objective. My problem is the way he narrates certain aspects and includes his own ideas/assumptions which are annoying as I’m trying to understand the context of what he is saying and it’s a waste of my time. His language/ slangs are also a less desirable part of the book. It’s not the best edited book and I wouldn’t expect much at this price point.

There are much better alternatives resources than this garbage text.
There are even more mistakes in this than in volume 1. Many concepts he gets completely backwards. Considering how many editions in he is at this point, this is flat out inexcusable. The lack of a digital version is also very frustrating. You can't practically carry these books around while studying and the author compounds it with the most inefficient spacing imaginable. Presumably he's doing this intentionally so he can charge us for 2 books instead of 1 because without all the unnecessary space this would be a 1 volume text. It's just to force us to pay double. On rare occasion the jokes are funny, most come across very incelly, crass and often times insulting to patients. There is no need to make some insulting snide remark about the life expectancy of newborns with congenital heart disease. A good rule of thumb is that if it would be insulting to a patient if they read something, don't put it in the chart or in a textbook. Come on man, just be decent. It's pretty obvious why the author won't publish this under his real name. The website lectures he's hawking are also a scam (allegedly a 3 month membership, but then start charging you a monthly fee at 1 month). The tech support for the website, which is probably run by him as well, ignored my e-mails.Just avoid. There are better and more accurate resources out there, and you won't have to break your back lugging this garbage around at the hospital. Not worth the paper it's printed on.
