Faster and better smart capabilities than my TV.
This review relates to a certified refurbished Firestick 4K Max 16G. There are plenty of reviews of Firesticks elsewhere so I will just concentrate on describing my real world experience.CERTIFIED REFURBISHED: I have bought a number of certified refurbished items from Amazon and always been very impressed. Apart from the packaging these items have always seemed like new.FIRESTICK: I purchased the Firestick dongle for use mainly when travelling. In the past I have tried Chromecast and various iterations of Miracast. I had not been attracted to the Firestick as I thought it was too tied to the Amazon environment. In practice the Firestick works very much like a generic android TV albeit with an Amazon interface which is a small price to pay for its functionality. I had not been happy with the other dongles because of problems with connections and video quality which is why I decided to try a Firestick instead. There are many ways to use streaming dongles but because of limitations of the way the dongles worked most of my previous success has been with mirroring my android tablet screen. As far as I was concerned if the Firestick could mirror my tablet screen with an easier setup and better quality video this would be a success with any other features being a bonus.In practice the Firestick has been such a success that I now use it routinely at home and rarely use mirror mode. I use it at home because it is fast and has a greater capability than my old smart TV. I rarely mirror to the Firestick because it is capable of being loaded with the apps I have on my tablet making mirroring unnecessary.In summary the Firestick is the most comprehensive and best video quality (even when mirroring) dongle I have used.

Better than i expected
I was having various problems with my smart tv settings including not getting the best picture and sound from my video library on my pc. After basically dumbing down my tv to factory settings i now boot straight to the Firestick. My tv now defaults to enhanced hdmi, Dolby Vision IQ and i have set the surround sound to pass through earc to my receiver. I`m still playing around with various settings but everything just seems to work well, its quick too. Definitely a good decision to buy this, it has greatly enhanced my viewing experience.

Great for use in our projector and TV on our campervan... Downloaded apps easily and very straightforward to use.... And a refurbished one that looks and performs like new, for a lower cost - what's not to like?

Very fast . Works well. Much improved performance over 2nd gen version. Not in original packaging but all of the components look brand new.

The Max stick aid very smooth and fast when going through apps and menus, not a major difference but it is noticeable.Upgraded to use the Xbox app - works flawlessly even via Wi-FiPicture quality is great but again not extremely noticeable, suppose it all depends on your TVVolume controls on the remote are great.Easy to setup.

Glitchy
There is something not right with this model. It responds well to commands and functions well. But there is a random glitch seen with all apps and live tv. I contacted customer service and was told to reboot it. Not fixed. Seems a common problem with the frame rate regardless of settings
