There is sufficient power in the fan to adequately control mild smoke and steam, particularly when the fan is set to its maximum level. After using this product when preparing foods that often filled my apartment with strong fragrances, such as frying fish or creating a hot pot, I noticed a considerable decrease in the lingering odors that were present after the dish was finished being prepared. I am able to simply modify the airflow to suit the food that I am preparing, and the many speed settings give me adaptability. I find that the lower settings are rather quiet, which is ideal for regular cooking when I do not need the highest amount of power. There is a tendency for the noise levels in a small place to become overbearing very fast, which is why I believe that this function is very significant. Additionally, the inclusion of the huge oil collecting cup is a kind touch. It is my opinion that it makes cleaning up a lot simpler since it efficiently gathers any grease particles, hence reducing the amount of buildup that occurs on the fan itself. I have used the range hood for frying, and it seems to perform a decent job of containing the majority of the oil, which contributes to the general cleanliness of the kitchen. In addition to being simple to remove and clean, the aluminum filter that can be detached is also quite handy. My impression is that it makes the maintenance process easy and uncomplicated, particularly considering that it can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Definitely worth a try. I don't currently have a built in kitchen hood and this thing has revolutionised my kitchen. Completely removes any odours left from cooking meat. Runs quietly and one of its big draws is how easy it is to clean, which is a great alternative. Performance is not compromised in any way.

It helps for smoke while cooking but whish the fan power was stronger or the head of the fan could be repositioned. My kitchen doesn't have a fan so this was definitely a needed purchase. It's easy to use and makes some noise but quieter than a normal kitchen fan.

I am amazed at how well it works to reduce odours from cooking. This stuff has revolutionised my kitchen. It works as well as advertised and I really like it. It's a great alternative. I am very happy with this product!

It works perfect for the cooking odors thru the house because I have an open kitchen and it’s nice looking on the counter. The price was reasonable

This was a total piece of crap. It didn't remove any smoke, and one of the front pieces actually started to melt a bit and fell off when I put this to the side of my stovetop (not directly in contact but to the side to try and draw away the smoke - as the product is supposed to be used!). Don't waste your money!

I am giving this product three stars because it does not have the option to control which speed that you would like to use. It will start on high and then go to low without selecting a different mode. However, it does a great job of removing the odor and pulling the smoke away.

Where I live, I don't have space for the typical range hood and there are times I even have to use my electric griddle on my stove. I tried using a small desk fan but this blows that out of the water. Like your typical range hood, this actually sucks in any steam or smoke and what is weird, what comes out on the other end is just air. I thought for sure this was just going to suck it on and blow it back out but in the back, nothing but air is all that comes out. While this is a bit bigger than what I thought, it actually doesn't take up a lot of space, even with the small amount of space I do have. I also found this works great for when I go camping in my trailer too. Highly recommended for small kitchens, camping trailers and even outdoor kitchens.
