I have used the gloves several times to make peanut brittle. I needed to let it cool about a minute then I could pull the brittle.

Was wondering if you have had a chance to use the gloves yet, and if so how well they worked at protecting your fingers?

The gloves work really really well. You could feel the heat but it did not burn. just make sure you're wearing the latex gloves over the cotton gloves. I have used them four or five times, and not one burn, this is from pouring the boiling sugar from the pan onto the slab to work with the sugar. Hope this helps.

Did the candy stick to the gloves?

I ended up not using the gloves. I poured the isomalt into a measuring cup with a spout and used it that way for my project.

Would these work to prevent heat transfer the other way? My warm hands keep melting my buttercream!

Insulation works both ways so I don't see why not.
