A YA filled with realizations
ASAP is a fantastic follow-up to XOXO, diving deeper into the lives of Sori and Nathaniel, who were such intriguing side characters before. Set in the glitzy yet tough world of K-pop, the book blends romance, ambition, and self-discovery in a way that keeps you hooked from start to finish.Ohās writing style is straightforward but vivid, making it super easy to get lost in the story. The K-pop backdrop is not just a setting but a key part of the plot, adding excitement and depth. The romance between Sori and Nathaniel is the heart of the book, but thereās plenty more going on, like Soriās struggle with her career choices and her complicated family life.Sori is a standout character. She starts off seeming cold and severe, but as you get to know her, you see all her vulnerabilities and strengths. Her journey to figure out what she really wants is relatable and inspiring. Nathaniel is equally compelling. Heās sweet, caring, and a bit of a dreamboat, making him a perfect match for Sori. Sorinate is really cute!Their second-chance romance is done so well. Itās full of sweet moments, real conflicts, and a slow burn that makes their reunion incredibly satisfying. Sure, itās frustrating when Sori keeps pushing Nathaniel away, but it makes sense given her background and the pressures sheās under.ASAP isnāt just a cute love story; itās about finding yourself and making tough choices. Itās perfect for fans of K-pop, and itās also a great way to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month #aapiheritagemonth by showcasing Korean culture and the music industry. If you loved XOXO or are just looking for a heartwarming read with great characters, ASAP should definitely be on your list. Axie Oh has struck again with this YA!

Cute read!!
It was like reading a YA Kdrama instead of watching it. This was such a cute readš„¹š«¶š»It was cheesy as young adult books are supposed to be, the mid part of the book was best. We were hooked!! It was a quick, fun and easy to read book with sizzling romance(some scenes are so good that I was thinking we just need a little bit of growlling here and this will be so perfect) but itās YA so we had some YA growling in itšSori and Nathaniel are so cuteš„¹š well put and hot characters!! The pool scene and the washroom scene literally made me go feral š©šThe thing that put me off a little was that Soriās character was so well built and firm in her decisions from the start, she knew what she wanted from the start for her career or life and she went for it but they kind of ruined it at the end with all the indecisiveness and āback and forthā between Nathaniel and her. It was frustrating and heartbreaking to watch Nathaniel sufferš„²šNathaniel was perfect book boyfriend who always respected Soriās boundaries. A total swoon worthy guyš©š¦ We are a simp for him!!All the K-pop based plot and background was very realistic, the whole found family vibe among sori and xoxoās members was so heartwarming. So bottom line is it is a cute read same like itās cover and if you want something clean and closed door this is your tea!!Also I kind of know who is going to be the next couple in this series and Iām so excited for the next bookš

Kdrama in a book! šš
Sori has spent the past few years preparing to debut as a kpop idol but she feels now that the life of fame is not for her. But this decision, like all others, is not just own since her mother is the CEO of Joah Entertainment and her father is a future presidential candidate who has his own expectations from own. Despite all this, she continues to cross paths with Nathaniel, member of the world famous kpop boyband XOXO who is also her old friend and her ex. Amidst all the pressure, Sori can't help but remember the last time she was happy, when she was with Nathaniel. So when Nathaniel gets caught up in a new scandal, Sori offers him to stay at her house until things get better. But as the two spend time together, old feelings resurface. Things are as much at stake as they were two months ago when they broke up but staying away might not just be the option.I love Axie Oh and her books. They are so fun and literally kdramas in book form and as a fan of kdramas, it's my duty to read them asap (pun intended). ASAP is the follow up book to XOXO which followed another member of the eponymous boyband and Sori was introduced in the same book. I am sucker for second chance romance so I was just waiting for Nathaniel and Sori's book to release and it did not disappoint!I flew through the book within a day and I was smiling, giggling, kicking my feet at some of the very adorable scenes! I have been Team Nathaniel and Sori since XOXO and I was just screaming at them to get together already throughout the book. All the popular kdrama tropes made me all giddy and I hope that someday we see an adaptation of this because *that* would be sooo cute! ššAnd now that we have had Jaewoo and Nathaniel books, @axieoh when are we getting Sun and Youngmin's books huh? šThank you so much @harpercollinsin @harpercollinschin for sending this my way š
