I have grown to expect the best from Freud and they didn't disappoint.
Compared to other well branded cutters the carbide cutters were twice as thick reducing vibration. I use the blind dovetail joint for drawer boxes and after 20 large boxes it cut clean and smooth as a new cutter. Great quality

Works well
Have used it to make dovetail joints on some boxes I built. Seems like a good bit for the price.

Freud killin it as usual...
In my shop, this is now the only bit that gets used with my aluminum dovetail template jig. I had previously purchased a different, lower end, yellow brand bit of the "same" parameters but could not get tight dovetail fit.Ordered this bit and am now able to create perfect fitting joints. Apparently the other bit was off by a few thou and was removing too much material. At this point, I have now built countless dovetail drawers using this bit it and it is still tearing through Hard Maple like the day I got it.Tried and tested. Freud makes some of the best router bits out there, hands down. This 1/2" SH x 3/4" D x 14° Dovetail Bit is another fine example of this.

The bit was sharp and accurate.
I bought this bit to make these serving trays and it worked great. The operator error was the only problem 😊

Saludos

Flawless Dovetail Bits That Will Perform For Multiple Generations Of Wood Workers
What can be said about Freud. The company is a world leader in the woodworking realm. The quality of Freud products should not be questioned. All of the products in the Freud catalog have been and will continue to be the best products available on the market today. If by chance that a Freud product fails to live up to the lifetime guarantee, the exchange/refund process is painless as long as you have the receipt &/or invoice. While Freud tools & accessories carry premium prices, the cost is well worth it. Freud products are an investment most woodworkers will happily make, knowing that the tool(s) &/or accessories they bought will come with a lifetime warranty, will be of the best quality available & will perform flawlessly right out of the box.As for this particular router bit(s) I nicked myself while handling the bit, it drew a little blood, that is how sharp the cutting edges really are. After 2 hours of routing dovetails in softwood & hardwood (Cedar & Oak), the cuts were perfect, from the first to last dovetail, they were flawless. If anyone is looking for the best quality for router bits, Freud is the only way to go.

An excellent choice of dovetail bit
I needed a really good dovetail bit for some joinery work on a stereo cabinet. The bits that I had chattered and had some serious tearout issues when used with the admittedly poor quality Craftsman jig that I have. I chose the Freud because a more accomplished woodworker recommended them for consistency and quality of cut. He was absolutely right. The router did not have to work as hard and even with soft woods, the only time I got tearing was when I messed up. I have since bought other Freud blades and bits and have found them superb in every case.

Cut great but never worked with Porter-Cable's #4212 jig
I varied the depth about 10 times and never got a decent fit for half blind dovetails, they were always too loose. I threw my old Porter Cable 43776PC bit back in to confirm I wasnt crazy and it cut perfectly the first try. Im not sure if I was doing something wrong or if the bit just wasnt quite right. It always cut really nice but never did I get a decent fit with the jig. I bought a porter replacement and shelved this one, pretty disappointing.
