Cake without the sugar guilt!
Cake! Who doesn’t love cake? I sure do, but I’ve also been trying to cut down on my sugar and carbs, so this one worked out perfect for me. I actually think it tastes better than regular cake mix, which I usually find way too sweet. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t bland or anything, it’s still sweet, just not overly so. The texture is right there with the regular mixes too, and being Betty Crocker, you know it’s going to come out light and moist with a nice crumb. What really sells me is that nobody would guess it’s a lower-sugar mix. I’ve served it to family and not one person said a word, they just went for seconds. This is my new go-to cake mix.

I think this cake mix tastes better than any other cake mix I have ever bought. It is still sweet without being too sweet. I prefer to other cake mixes. It still has sugar, just not as much. When you pair it with icing, you will never be able to tell the difference.

Perfect for tres leches!
This classic yellow cake is just what we needed for tres leches. The lower sugar helps to balance the extra sweetness added later and it has a great texture that doesn't completely fall apart. It's still much cheaper than buying a finished cake from the store!

Not Bad!
This cake mix is not bad for a lower sugar cake mix. If you are trying to cut back on your sugar intake it's not a bad choice. It is not as sweet as regular cake mix but it does not taste bad

Great for strawberry shortcake
Used this for strawberry shortcake instead of biscuits or something else. Flavor and texture is really good for being lower sugar. Would definitely buy again.

Can be dressed up
I made a poke cake out of this cake mix and everyone raved about it. I made a sugar free lemon package (didn’t let it fully gel)and after the 13x 9 cake cooled a bit I poked holes with a fork. Then I poured the ungelled jello over it. I made it once with regular frosting and once with sugar free cool whip to which I added a tsp of lemon extract and a drop of yellow food coloring. You could also use orange flavoring and ok instead of water when making the mix. Perfect light dessert.
