Beautiful, Practical, Affordable, Well Thought Out, Exactly What I Was Looking For
I needed an additional sleeping space for occasional guests and didn't want to dedicate a large portion of my small, spare bedroom to a full-size permanent bed. I did significant research and located this gem that was in my price range and fit in my small area. It feels like this setup was built just for my space. For the most part I put the bed together by myself. My husband assisted a couple of times when I got myself in a jam and he heard me screaming expletives. It took me three partial evenings to put this together; I would estimate 6-7 hours total. The bed comes well packaged in two heavy boxes which we unpacked downstairs and carried each piece upstairs. Each piece was numbered; some of the number stickers were on the face of the piece and other numbers were on the side. The stickers remove easily if and when you want to remove them. I was really impressed with the hardware - each type of hardware was labeled and in individual bags. And, let me tell you - I counted every screw, wheel, rail, dowel, etc., and every single one was there. I was extremely impressed with the labeling and packaging. The instruction booklet is 60 pages long and is pretty thorough. The only time I got hung up on the instructions was on the drawer guides and that is mainly due to me second guessing myself and the instructions. I had never installed drawer guides so I needed to understand the logic on how the three drawers nested together before I trusted that they would work - and, they do work quite well. Here are my mistakes that most likely you won't make, but just in case... When you are putting together the base (instructions 10-11), you stand the unit on its side and then slide in the two back panels. My ceilings were not high enough to accommodate this task, so I tried to lay the unit down on its back and failed to support piece #11 which had no choice but to break away from the unit. Yep, that was the first round of expletives. I had to repair this blunder (wood glue, toothpicks, wood shavings) and let it sit overnight. This fixed the problem, but then I discovered I had glued it in backwards so now the holes for the cam locks were facing the inside of the bed, not the outside. Needless to say, I left this as is and covered the holes which are now barely visible. Last blunder was the handles - I was not fond of the handles that came with the bed, so I purchased Ravinte Arch Cabinet Pulls (which fit perfectly) from Amazon. Being the impatience person I am at times, I didn't want to wait for the new handles to arrive, so I completed the bed assembly. After the handles arrived, I learned quite quickly that there was no easy way to replace the handles unless I removed the panel 14/15 section - which I did. It wasn't too bad, but I would recommend if you were going to replace the handles do it before you completely assemble the bed. As others have said, the storage drawer is very roomy. I have two standard size feather pillows and two light-weight blankets in the drawer and it could hold more. The bed unfolds and folds up exactly as is shown in several videos. I have carpet in my room so it does not glide as smoothly as it would on wood floors. This is not as issue for me - it just means you pull the drawer sections open taking care to put equal force on both sides of the front of the drawer (which you should be doing anyway). I purchased the 6" Millard Tri Fold Full size mattress and it fits perfectly. I have not slept on the bed yet nor has anyone else, but it seems to be reasonably comfortable. The real test will be in near future when I have guests. The bed unit is pretty darn sturdy. I did not notice any squeaking or rattling of boards when I tested it out. Once again, time will tell. I expect to be using this bed 10-12 times a year and I am confident it will hold up well. If you were going to use this bed every day, opening and closing, I am not sure this is for you. I was shopping for a bed that would be compact, comfortable, sturdy, good looking and would not break the bank. I found many other beds that were 3-5 times as expensive, were solid wood and would definitely hold up to daily use, but these were not for me. I am really pretty darn picky and I find this bed to be perfect for my needs. I would highly recommend this bed.

Super sturdy and compact, TOOK FOREVER TO BUILD, but it’s awesome.
So I will start off saying this SUCKS to put together. Had to watch my poor husband struggle for 6 hours, and he was an aircraft mechanic for 20 years!I will say, once put together.. this thing is awesome. It’s compact, and it looks nice.YOU CANNOT HAVE A RUG UNDERNEATH IT THOUGH. The bottom drawer has wheels and it’s like all the way on the ground, I do have carpet though. The mattress hasn’t arrived yet (needed to get a folding L shaped one) so will have to update about that once it comes.

Great product!
We love how this bed worked out in our space! It is so nice to have an option for guest to stay with us without needing a full time bedroom set up. The look of it closed up is not an eye sore and matches our other furniture nicely. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because the set up did take a lot longer than we anticipated, the instructions were clear and easy to follow but lengthy. I think we ended up spending almost 6 hours building it. Once it was built and set up, it was perfect for our needs and fit our space exactly how we envisioned it.

Great choice
It took me just over 7 hours to put this beast together. I live in a 120-square-foot studio apartment, so limited space definitely slowed me down—I imagine it would’ve gone faster in a larger area. I’d highly recommend having someone strong help with the assembly, because doing it solo was rough. That said, I managed to put it together by myself despite being only 145cm tall and not exactly in shape, so it is doable on your own if necessary. The bed itself is incredibly sturdy and feels like great quality—well worth the price in my opinion. However, the included handles are both unattractive and flimsy, which makes the overall look feel a bit cheap. I’ll be replacing those soon. The instructions were occasionally confusing, and while they say you only need a standard Phillips head screwdriver, I’d strongly suggest using an electric one to save your hands and wrists.Overall, the bed is very supportive, suits a wide range of decor styles, and seems to be thoughtfully designed and well-made.

Bed not included
This item does not come with the foldable bed. Very misleading description stating “queen foldable platform bed”. That tells me the mattress comes with it, however, it does not. I cannot see anywhere in the description where it says “bed not included” I’m very unhappy.

Great Murphy bed!
This took some time to put together, but it’s well worth it. My guests loved it and it fits great in my den without taking up a lot of room. The trifold mattress I bought stores right in side it. The bottom drawer is large enough to store the bedding, two pillows and a large body pillow that I put at the head of it when people are using it.
