HARApad EMF Protection - Laptop Radiation & Heat Shield (25" LapDesk, Black Acrylic)

While the heat shield does work and I don’t doubt it has EMF blocking capabilities, this is certainly not worth the price. I’d opt for a more functional one that holds your laptop in place on top and has some grip on the bottom to prevent the pad from sliding.

This is the second HARApad that I will own only because I had to pass my previous one down to my brother so he could have one too. They recently came out with the “Root” model and I had to have it! I’ve never had a single problem with my purchases and the product is not only durable but has various colors and sizes for different laptops! Another huge plus for me was the fact that they’re a company based out of Grand Rapids, MI (Not China, woo!) and I’m from the Detroit, MI area so I was really excited to help support a Michigan business!I HIGHLY recommend this brand and product to anyone whose looking for something to keep them safe and protected against laptop radiation as well as the heat from the bottom of the laptop. If you’re not familiar with the harmful affects of a laptop I really suggest doing your research. It’s scary what these laptops produce and the HARApad protects you anywhere from 90-100% of the emitted radiation! I always keep it with my laptop wherever I go and it’s lightweight and easy to travel with. The only downside is the surface scratches from being rubbed against the bottom of the laptop, but it doesn't affect the function or quality of the product and I'm not bothered by it. The price is a little steep but the price to stay healthy and protected is never cheap and it’s always worth the investment. If you’re unfamiliar with the product check it out! Before owning a HARApad I had no idea how much harm can be caused from using my laptop every day. As a videographer and editor I'm on my macbook all the time - either traveling with it on my lap, at my desk, or just using it on the couch - my life runs off it. I've always known that it can get really hot after long uses but wasn't aware of the harmful radiation that comes from it. After getting my first HARApad I noticed a huge difference when using my laptop. Not only does the heat not bother me anymore but I also have peace of mind knowing I'm protecting myself from various illnesses caused from the rays. I started with the first generation model and recently upgraded to the elite 2.0 Harapad Root. It fits right in my laptop case with my laptop, so I bring it every where I go and don't use my laptop without it, even at my desk. There's a ton of other great designs and models out now too, so you can have the best of fashion and function! The only thing that I can think of to make this product better would be if there was a way to clip it right to my laptop so it is always attached right to it. All in all the HARApads are a necessary purchase for anyone who works off their laptop every day and wants to stay healthy!

Who knows what scientific experiment or "report" will trump what we think is true today? I like this product a lot. As an author I spend a considerable amount of time (over 50%) writing with my laptop on my lap. I can feel the EMFs and heat. With Harapad my sensitive body no longer feels the EMFs or computer heat - AND the Harapad offers a stable platform for my laptop (I love that!) . The product is well made. I read the other reviews and by the looks of my product they have improved the quality otherwise, I do not jibe with the negative reviews. Can I prove the EMFs are block or by what percentage? No. At a minimum, is this a great start to improve my comfort and health. YES! I also like it that the company is family owned and operated.

I got this not because I believe in EMF but because I wanted a passive laptop pad that was basically just a chunk of metal wrapped in plastic, and this delivers well on that. It lets me use my 17 inch gaming laptop on my lap without burning my legs, and it lets me put it down on a couch without the soft cushions blocking all the vents and stuff. Not too heavy, and it doesn't fill up with dust like all the cooling pads with built-in fans. The edges of the pad are maybe a tiny bit sharper than is ideal but otherwise it's great and seems to do the job.

I suffer from electromagnetic hypersensitivity and don't use this product in the typical sense of having it under your laptop. Instead I have a keyboard and monitor wired at a distance from my laptop and put the Harapad (actually 3 of them) upright and front of the computer to blog radiation. This has been especially helpful for streaming video which puts out a ton of radiation and used to leave me feeling quite ill. It's been much better with Harapad and I'm so thankful for this product!

HARAPAD WORKS! I bough the Trifield 100XE EMF Meter at the same time that I bought the Harapad, so that I could quantitatively test the effectiveness of the HARAPAD. Long story short, the HARAPAD cuts the magnetic and electric radiation coming off of the base of my MacBookPro down by a factor of about 85%. Just remarkable. Not only that, you can actually feel the decrease in heat on your lap when you are using the HARAPAD, too. I recommend this to anyone and everyone who is using a laptop — if you want to keep yourself protected from the electromagnetic radiation streaming out of the bottom of these devices. There's also a fair amount of radiation coming out of our cell phones, and I'm not sure about the best way to protect myself from that yet. But for protection of the lap and the pelvic area, you can't beat the HARAPAD.

I am really glad I purchased this! My son recently got a laptop, and my husband often uses his ipad on his lap. I try not to be paranoid about radiation, but also do what I can to protect my family. It is better not to used computers on your lap at all, but people do, and the Harapad helps to block a lot of the radiation. We also use it under the computer even when he is sitting at a desk. You can find tests on you tube that how how the radiation is lessened significantly by the Harapad.

Showed up with marks or discolouration on the board. Pretty expensive item.

You can actually feel the difference when you don't use the board. Works well.

I did test the bottom of use with a Trifield TF2 meter for EMF detection, certainly is protecting my nuts, so that's a bonus.From a tested Macbook Pro Mid 2015, the bottom half was emitting a steady 80-90mG WEIGHTED and 15-30mG STANDARD, numbers consistently below 1.5 for both Weighted/Standard.
