My first impression of this chalk bucket is that it is sturdy as heck. Pre-pandemic, I used to go to the climbing gym at least three times a week, so I tend to put my chalk buckets through the ringer, tossing them around and shoving them into my backpack. This one is made with some extremely tough weatherproof material, and I can tell it’s going to last me years of use.Going more into the details: I especially like the storage capabilities, with two zipper pockets on the bottom of the bag, which I can put my mini liquid chalk tube, Climb-On, and roll of athletic tape into. I like to keep my phone in the mesh pocket on the side for easier access during climbing sessions. I can’t figure out the purpose of the middle nylon loops on the bag, but I guess you could use them to clip the bucket onto your harness (although it’s a little large for that) or your backpack with a carabiner if you wanted.I like the “lunchbox” shape of the bucket because it’s deep and stands up on its own (once you open it up fully and bucket the internal straps together to keep it open), but I can’t really get the “lock and roll” feature to execute perfectly. The outer material plus the top magnetic strip is so stiff that it’s awkward to make the outer buckles meet without pushing out a cloud of chalk dust in the process, so it usually just goes into my backpack at full size. This isn’t enough to deduct a star though, especially since the toughness of the material is mostly a selling point.Lastly, I love the thoughtful design touches which really makes this product look high quality - the topographic print of Yosemite is really cool, and the Survivor logo on the bottom zippers completes the look. Note that the product photo makes the design look almost silvery-white, but it’s closer to a light gray in real life. Overall this chalk bucket is a great value for the price and has a lot of good things going for it.

I love this chalk bag, the way it functions is perfect it keeps all the chalk inside the the bag and the chalk sock allowed the perfect amount out on your hands without making a mess in the bag. I love the design it’s super cool and even just for functionality the bag is well made and easy to use well worth the price.

After a year or so of use here is my personal summary,So the bag is a good size,perfect for multiple people to use and holds a good amount.Now on to the quality of the bag. It’s great! The bag is super strong,good for indoor or outdoor climbing. The magnetic strips haven’t failed me yet and open/close with ease. The bag functions as it should, the roll up top is similar to those dry bags you see (this thing is not water proof)The bag is semi adjustable but not much, that said it’s super versatile. I out nail clippers,tape,superglue and brushes in this thing along with my deodorant.This is a sold bag 10/10 would recommend!

The bucket itself is very roomy, and the various pockets are super convenient for storing brushes, tape, clippers, even a large cell phone.The one downside is that the zippers become stuck very quickly and easily. After about a month of using the bucket two to three times a week, the zipper on one side became stuck and physically tore out from the stitches of the pocket.Another month goes by and the zipper on the opposite side had the same issue. Mind my hands are very sweaty and chalk doesn’t last on them very long, and I do not repeatedly zip and unzip during each session, usually just once or twice per.Unless you feel like washing and cleaning off the zippers frequently, may just be easier to leave the pockets unzipped.

I got this chalk bag around when I first started climbing and I absolutely love it. It is fairly lightweight, has a great design, and is very comfortable. The bag is extremely adjustable and high quality and a must have for those extra hard sends. I got to talk to a representative about a miscommunication unrelated to this product and their team was very friendly and went above and beyond in sorting it out. I highly recommend the Survivor brand and this product.
