Stopped working after 2 weeks.
Edit: I dropped my rating from 5 star to 1 because the robot stopped wall climbing after 2 weeks and customer service is so frustrating. In short, the Seauto customer support would tell me redundant advice like, “turn it off then on” or “put it in wall mode”. Shame as it started off working great. The robot will climb the wall once, then go back down and only do floor mode. So seems like a firmware problem, but I don’t think there is a possibility to update the firmware. I’m now returning it. Shortly after the contact piece on the male charging jack broke off. Again, all of this in 2 weeks. Customer service asked me many redundant question s, asked for videos, then replied “ We will report this issue to the R&D team to see what the problem is and reply to you when there is the latest. Thank you for your feedback”. My original review is below. ——— First impression is the device is solidly built. Appears to be strong plastic and well put together. The small exception might be the basket latch which feels slightly flimsy. The runs are averaging about 2 hours. The device really gets out of the water and scrubs the scum line exceptionally well. I have a large pool and am running it 4 times a week. There is an APP you can download called Unlock Seauto which gives you basic settings, like the option for wall mode, floor mode or both. It set up easily via Bluetooth. I did not even see this mentioned when I purchased it, but in any case a nice bonus. Occasionally the robot will pause its location on a strange part of the pool, like the stairs or corner, but shortly after will move itself on without trouble. Even in slow mode (slow or fast can be selected in app) it looks to be traveling too fast along the bottom, and as a result occasionally missing dirt it just went over. Perhaps an simple firmware upgrade will resolve this in the future. Parts appear modular so hoping they will be easy to replace when the time comes. I took the battery out once as I was traveling home with it by air and it was easy. I must be removing a lot of small debris as well because the pool water is looking clearer. Really impressed. Cannot speak of longevity as the unit is new, but so far very happy.

Impressive
I was very skeptical because of all the recent fake reviews on Amazon but this has been a great purchase so far. It cleans really well, but sometimes it speeds to much which starts to throw around dirt and leaves at the bottom. I have a weird shape pool but it handles the walls and the stairs really well. An app would be nice to send battery notifications, not sure if this is wifi enabled or not, but some other reviews were talking about an app in production. Currently it only operates under one mode but I'm okay with that. I live in an area where there are a lot of palm trees, sometimes large strings if palm leaves falls into the pool, it picks up the smaller ones just fine, but the larger ones tend to get skipped a lot.

Only Lasted One Season
Purchased this pool vacuum in May 2024 for about $400. Worked well for the first pool season. I live in the northeast so our pool season is pretty short (4 months or so). Probably used the vacuum 10 or so times as we have a Polaris 360 that does the daily cleaning and we were using this unit to clean the pool once a week or so to pick up the finer debris and to scrub the pool walls. Over the winter months, the vacuum was stored in the house. This year, vacuum worked once and then started blinking yellow. Tried all the troubleshooting recommendations (put vacuum in floor only mode, upgrade software, check for blockages, etc.) and nothing worked. Sent videos to Seauto as well as a description of the issue and they offered no help whatsoever to get the vacuum working again. After a few back and forth emails, they finally indicated that since I bought the vacuum through Amazon and not directly through their website, I would need to resolve any further issues with them. Very disappointing. I understand I was out of warranty but I wasn't asking for a replacement unit. I was asking for help to get the vacuum working again. They should stand behind their product. Needless to say, similar to other reviews, the customer support is horrible. I would look elsewhere if you are looking for an affordable pool vacuum.

Worth the money
This robot cleans very well. Picks up all the small particles that a net can’t get. It climbs up the stairs and walls easily. Takes about an hour and a half to charge. It comes with a hook to retrieve it when it’s done. It’s easy to clean. The only things I don’t like about it are that it is heavy, and when I remove it from the pool some of the debris comes out of the bottom flap, so you have to remove it quickly to minimize that. Overall I am satisfied with it. It gets the job done and costs a lot less than a lot of the other robots with the features that it has. It’s strong and I feel it’s worth the price for what you get.

almost perfect ( or so i thought )
For 2 weeks we tried the Seagull from another company. It was decent but didn't live up to the expectations described so we sent it back. The Seauto Crab on the other hand is an absolute beast of a robot. It will run for 2 hours. It will clean the floors and the walls at the same time. It even tries to clean my baja step even though it is too shallow. Once it figures out the water is too shallow it rolls its way back to the deeper part of the pool. It does clean off my deeper steps which is nice the seagull never did that. The reason for my 4-star rating is the latches to release the lid for the basket. They don't fit perfectly, and I fear that at some point while releasing the clips to remove the lid or putting the lid on and latching the clips, one of them is going to break. I'm sure it's going to take a while but even still I think there might be a better design to secure to cover for the basket. other than that, this is by far the simplest thing to use. once it's charged simply turn it on put it in the pool and let it go. It's a powerhouse and it picks up everything. I am extremely happy to have made this purchase and unless something goes wrong in the near future, I don't see any reason to change my mind. Review Update 6/14/25 We have had the bot for about a year now , and slowly it has gotten worse. I noticed the basket wasn't as getting as full as usual but is was still picking stuff up . I want to say its because the pool was cleaner . To a degree that is true . But I started watching the bot and i figured out what was happening. When it runs forward it is fine but when it runs backwards (I.E. Handle is moving forward) there is too much water resistance and it basically does a wheelie in the middle of the pool . WHen it does its wheelie it cannot scrub the floor or pick anything up . Lately its gotten worse . The bot has been playing balerina . Once the bot climbs the wall it floats vertically. The fan will kick on and the bot will spin in circles floating in the middle of the poopl wasting power and time as it will not sink for several minutes . I have no idea how to fix these issues . I know there is a sensor on the back(big) side of the bot but it seems like a very bad design flaw to have the bot drive in a direction that will cause the body to raise up and not clean anything . Aero dynamics still function in water .

Cheap Quality
Although the cleaner does an okay job of cleaning (missed areas), the parts of this product are of cheap or inferior materials. Customer service is horrendous. The charging plug is made of steel instead of brass. Thus, the steel pin of charge plug got stuck in vacuum port and pulled out due to corrosion. Given this product is used in a wet environment, steel on steel shouldn’t be used, poor engineering. Proprietary plug is used of course. I reached out to the company for a replacement charger or charge port plug since the charger works fine. It will take 24 hours between messages, so plan on days to get an answer or several days between replies. Here is their latest reply “According to the condition of your machine, it cannot be repaired by replacing accessories.” So they basically state it’s not fixable, yet they sell replacement chargers on their website for $100. Avoid this product and company and spend your $400 elsewhere. According to the company I need to buy another one after a year of seasonal use. Edit: For anyone who’s had a problem with the plug into the device. I found a workaround to the $100 charger & cord. If your charge still works and need just the plug, I found the IEC 60320 is an exact fit for the charge port. You’ll need to wire + to square terminal. The charger outputs 26v DC, so if your charger does crap out, there are cheaper 26v chargers out there plus an IEC 60320 plug. Edit #2: Battery won’t take a charge any longer. $349 down the drain on a product that won’t last to 2 years. Avoid this Brand. $100+ on new batteries, looks like that would be annual to keep unit running. There are better options out there.

Worth the money but beware
I bought this about 6 mths ago after seeing reviews on YT. I looked for awhile but had to find ones for above ground pools that were not going to break the bank and not have a cable attached. I ordered this, came quickly, charged and started using. This is by far the best bang for the buck pool cleaner I found. I have the one that you attached to the pool pump and put the hose in, just a royal pain doing that and it worked 10% of the time. This got my pool clean so fast and efficiently in 2 1/2-3 hrs. I just had to clean the basket of debris. I reached out to Seauto and asked about an app as I heard they had one but only for their higher end models and they sent me a link in the Play store. makes it easier to control now Fast forward 5 mths later and it just stopped working. Will not charge. I checked everything, pulled out the battery, no water really, no corrosion anywhere. I reached out to Seauto and because of the time difference I just started a Chat with them. not calling, It took about a week of going back and forth telling them what happened, they worked with me, asked for my invoice, I sent a pic of it. I was told they will send a replacement, was happy but didn't hold my breath. Asked me the color I wanted (Got the purple and black) and just waited. About 2 weeks later it shows up. They didn't want the old one back or anything. The stepped up in a big way that I really appreciate it as does my wallet. I think this is a defect with their product as I have read around the 5 mth mark roughly ppl seem to be having issues from the forums I have read about their products. Hopefully they get this resolved as the product works great. Just a word to the wise, don't leave it in the water overnight a or anything, I know it water proofish, lol but better to be safe than sorry.

Does a great job so far!
I’ve gone through vacuums, I just had to drain my pool and fill it back up with some debris left but this I think helped get so much off the ground. I was hesitant buying but glad I did! It’s brand new so guess we will see after a couple of weeks. Right now I’m satisfied and climbs walls and most can’t climb my stairs but this does. I have probably a 10ft pool on the deep end so I was nervous about this. Does 2 1/2 hours and has a hook to pull it out and recharge.
