The highly charged title track exemplifies their dark and melodic trademark sound and features singer Brian Molko's instantly recognizable vocals. A new studio album by Placebo Molko (guitar/vocals), Stefan Olsdal (b) and Steve Forrest (drums) is due to follow the EP in 2013. While not a reflection of the direction of the new album, the band felt strongly that their fans should get to hear new music in the interim. I never get tired of listening to Placebo and this selection of songs are no exception. Plenty of energy and power packed into this EP and a nice mixture of rock and ballads make this as good as any of their previous material.

A new direction
Placebo are moving in a new direction recently, and this EP underlines this. The first track is a highlight, and is a triumphant, defiant yell against negativity and an exhortation to spiritual healing. Highly recommended.

B3 EP Review
Solid EP from an amazing band who has never fully disappointed on any record. B3 - A song where I like the verse better than the chorus; the chorus I think could've been a little better as it isn't as melodic as the verse, but a good single regardless. I Know You Want To Stop - A very good cover. Maybe the time signature gives it away that it's not an original song: I can't think of any songs they've written that have odd signatures (correct me if I'm wrong!) Admittedly, I haven't heard the original, the band that wrote it seems slightly obscure. But it's a catchy, fun song. The Extra - "Show me how to live." Great line, repeated with a great melody. My second favorite track on the EP. Serious in tone and subject but not musically sad. I.K.W.Y.L - Decent song. I like the background vocals that sing the song title. Time Is Money - My favorite. A song I had to put on repeat for a while. Kind of a sad tone, but not depressing. The beginning of each verse is exceptional and the final chorus is triumphant. Love it! I apologize for focusing mainly on the vocals and didn't really consider the music here, but overall I highly recommend this!

This B3 EP is what I was waiting for. Catchy tunes with deep lyrics. Placebo back to the roots. finally.

A little underwhelming.....
I had high hopes for this EP, the first new material from Placebo since Battle Of The Sun was released in June 09. This EP isn't bad but it's not great either...especially when you consider that it's been over 3 years. Of the 5 tracks, "B3" and "I know where you live" are the 2 standouts and both definitely improve with a few listens - the former is medium tempo spiritual number (with chorus lyrics "passion flower / catherine wheel / higher power"), whilst the latter is spikier with a good guitar riff. However, listening to this EP leaves me hoping that it represents a bit of a stop-gap experiment for Placebo and that they come back firing on all cylinders with a great new album soon.

Encontrar este disco en $71,00 fue lo mejor. Pese que no estaba disponible, aún así lo adquirí y espere pacientemente. Pensé que pasarían semanas antes de tenerlo en mis manos, pero únicamente pasó 2 semanas. Sin lugar a dudas, Amazon de lo mejor tienda de música.
