This is pretty nice stuff
This isn't the traditional, heavy, messy asphalt-based sound deadening. Instead, it's an adhesive closed-cell foam that doesn't quite lend the solid mass that the asphalt deadening does, but it gets rid of the tin can and plastic sound that car parts can get, making them feel cheap. This stuff is lightweight, sticks well, and doesn't make a mess when it gets hot, yet it makes the car sound quieter and more expensive than it is.

sound damner
Is as advertised But I thought it was a thick rubbery subsense but it's actually just fome. Not sure what would happen if it gets wet. 🤔 not sure for what i have in mind that I will use this in some area's.

Really works
I have a Mercedes Metris cargo van that I’ve been using the build a camper van. After driving it home from the dealership I realized that before I did anything I needed to add some acoustic insulation. This foam sheeting works great. I was able to cut it easily and, with the attached adhesive, it was even easier to install. I finished the left side of the van and then had to stop for a week, but even with just half of the van finished it made a HUGE difference when I got on the freeway. The road noise was cut down by about 80%. I can’t wait to do the other side - it will be so quiet.

siless nice foam
I recently got a box of the siless 5mm sound deadening foam, easy to cut but be careful it's a nightmare to remove, I'm currently putting the sound deadening foam on to my jeep tj hardtop to help with the heat and the sound and so far from the back to the front part I did you can actually touch the inside of the hardtop and its not that hot, it is working like it suppose to, once it sticks on its a nightmare to remove like I said.

Sturdy, noise deadening, insulating... just as advertised.
I used this for a dry box to see if it would keep the radiated heat down, and it did the trick. next I wrapped the inside of my 3D printers electronics bay and it all but eliminated the fan noise. next I'll try the interior of the 3D printer itself, but I'm going to have to do some flammability testing on it first.

Effective but it is OPEN CELL foam- soaks up water
The super sticky backing ensures a solid attachment to your surfaces, but make sure this is not used anywhere near water or moisture. It is of open cell construction, so it will absorb and HOLD water. Then you will have a breeding ground for mildew and smell.Overall it does deaden sound, but it has limited and specific limitations.

This is really nice closed cell foam!
This is, of course, a car audio product. There are a lot of issues with sound treating a vehicle. Within the vehicle there are rattles and squeaks which aren't noticed until a subwoofer is hitting, then it's like a maraca. Trim pieces will rub and squeak, and it's the most annoying of squeaks. There are reflections from soundwaves hitting hard, flat surfaces like your dash or windows. Cars are acoustically one of the most unfavorable setups. So we buy things like this and try to fix it.This is a closed cell foam. The texture is almost silky soft, compresses fairly easily, and is a deep, rich black. If this stuff peeks out around panels it won't break my heart.Closed cell foam like this product has a lot of uses for our purposes. You can use it for sound deadening, but it takes a great deal of it for it to be effective. Where this really shines is decoupling those rubbing and buzzing panels. You apply this where the buzzing/rubbing panels meet. Cut to size, remove the backing, and stick. It will reduce the vibrations that make your ride buzz and click like an angry beetle. For the purpose I've stated this product will do the job. For this I recommend.

It's foam with a sticky back.
Not really worth the price if you ask me. Even if it works perfectly and doesn't get wet and fall off like I expect it will, it's still just overpriced open cell foam. You can get a roll of this stuff for a fraction of the price, or even fiberglass or something better.
