The Pediatric and Neonatal Book For Critical Care Paramedics

I must say I was extremely disappointed with this publication. It clearly needs lots of work in regards to errors in content, spelling, formatting, grammar, and sentences and words running together. It clearly was a rush job going to print. There is no way a publication could have so many errors if it was proof read prior to publishing. I have found over 75 + mistakes in the first 15 pages of content. Also, each page has different fonts, typeface, text size etc. I must say I was absolutely excited to read this material. I have been working in the neonatal pediatric field for 15 years. However, I had to put it down due to all of the words running together among many other errors mentioned above. I did not want to leave a negative review and wanted to touch base with the author so he could fix the issues. However, Amazon refused to put me in touch due to security issues. Also, the author does not provide a contact us option in the book. Sorry to leave such a negative review. However, I feel it needs major work.

Great resource for common clinical presentations seen in the pediatric and neonatal transport realm. While there are more than a few formatting issues in this first edition print, don't let other reviews fool you. This book is jam packed with great information and reads easily. I purchased this book to review for my C-NPT exam and wish I had read it before taking my FP-C exam. I would recommend this book to all paramedics and EMTs wishing to continue their medical education.

I think this is a very good book considering that there is NOTHING out there for the anyone else entering the Neonatal Pediatric Transport setting. I could not give it 5 stars because of the grammatical errors and lack of spacing of some sentences. This is expected for the first edition or maybe it was due to cost savings. Hopefully when the 7th edition NRP guidelines and AHA information is released there will be changes made and the corrections made to the errors. Thank you for finally producing something that has long been needed. I have recommended this to our Educators and they ordered two books. I have also recommended it our new Nurses on our team.
