As the magnetic part was hidden from view. It should heave been packaged separately and with more clear instructions. Light works, has a magnet. It also did come with 2 pieces of double sided tape. Magnetic offers me more versatility, such as removing it for hand held, or from spot to spot. It's plastic, not super strong, not rugged, but that was for my needs, but it does need to be, as mainly for indoors/inside a car. Good value. Useful for the price. Liked it so much, I bought another second one. The second order I made arrived with packaging wire the metal plate was not on the magenta, therefore I was ale to see the magnet and figure out how to mount it and what the separate metal plate was for. Oddly, when you go to plug in the cord to charge it, the indented mark on the cord to show you face up into your USB, is upside down, not face up, which is not the norm, thus you need to look at it and consciously flip it so it inserts. Only takes 2 extra seconds to do, not a bother, but weird - the marers of the cord got that wrong; but works perfect. I would recommend they they think about this before the package it in, else I'd a given them 5 stars instead of 4. Great gift for someone.

These light are great. Charge fast and has a long battery. Very bright. I love the convenience of being able to remove them when needed.

I took the original overhead map light out of my 2014 Ford Explorer and installed a CB radio in its place which fit perfect in the square provided in the headliner once that part was removed. This product worked perfect as a replacement for the map light or overhead dome light. And it is rechargeable so I don’t have to worry about batteries.

Husband has a 2024 Chevy Silverado and the lights in the cab are not that bright. Found this and with the tape that comes with it works perfectly on the ceiling of the cab of his truck. He's even thinking about getting one for his work truck because now he can see everything inside the cab. Plus it's not permanent so you can take it down and use it.

Great amount of light, easy to use, magnet strength was great. However, double-sided tape was no match for Florida in car temperature of 100°+ on a fabric lined roof. Will have to place it somewhere else on a hard surface inside the vehicle.
