Cool toy just don't overpay
I have both the Japanese version of the Barracuda Blade and this one, the US version. They are quite different. The Japanese version has sounds, but the blade isn't translucent & doesn't light up (although the fish eye does light up). The US version has a translucent blade that lights up, which is pretty cool, but it has no sounds at all & the eye doesn't light up. The blade itself on the US version is longer than the JP version, which is more stubby. The JP version makes a variety of slashing sounds just from motion, which is really neat. But when you put the disk onto the hilt, it doesn't spin. The US version's disk spins on the hilt. I wish I could combine the US & JP versions into one toy that did ALL the sounds & lights. The JP version is a bit heftier overall, but it doesn't have the fins on the sheath like the US version. The retail price of this is around $10-$15, I hate to admit I paid double that to get it after the fact. If you don't buy these things when they first come out, the price goes up very quickly. Ironically, I got a nice used JP version on ebay for $15. Overall the US version is decent if you don't overpay for it.

Good for Girls
Bought this for my daughter who loves the Gold ranger. The blade was expensive but it's a good size for her to play with.

OVER PRICED! !!!
It was way too small for $40.00. I thought we was getting a sword, the advertisement was very deceiving. I can say my 2 year old loves it.

Cheap plastic junk
This toy was much smaller than we thought. Probably 8" total length. Completely made of plastic. Lasted a week before the plastic clips that hold the red disc on broke. My son is heartbroken. He saved his money for months to buy this...first it was tiny, now it's broken. Totally not worth the price. For $5, yes. For $10, maybe. For $30+, no way.

Cool Toy
I mean I'm not terrifically impressed with it, but I'm not a five year old. My son thinks it's the coolest thing so it is what it is for your Power Ranger lovers!
