The seller was Family Board Games, but Fulfilled by Amazon. I paid 37 bucks.It appears to be a quality item; the fabric and stitching looks fine. I won't use the carrying strap, since it doesn't look sturdy (don't want it to rip off from the case).The piece magnets work fine. When I move them around the board, the magnet feels weak. But I placed pieces on the board and turned it upside down, and the pieces stayed on. Good enough.All the pieces were included, plus 2 sets of dice, 2 dice cups, and a doubling cube. I can also fit 2 decks of cards inside the case (gotta stack them on top of each other), if I want to place other games...so I like that.It's small enough for travel, but large enough to play. Obviously, if a bunch of pieces happen to land all on one row, then it gets a little crowded, but just stack them.I'm happy with my purchase, and I'm looking forward to taking it on my next trip.

This is a really great backgammon set! When I placed the order I was undecided as to whether I would keep it for myself or give it as a gift. It is such a nice set that I will definitely give it to my friend as a birthday gift AND order another for myself.When I first received the boxed set, I was not impressed with how small it seemed. I was wishing I had paid better attention to the dimensions of the set. Then I unboxed it and found that it is perfect. If you are travelling with it you want something that is not too cumbersome to pack and take with you. It is also a great size to let the kids use in the back seat. It is small, but not tiny or miniature. Regular sized adult hands will be able to play this game just fine . One of the really great features I can appreciate is the fact that the pieces are magnetic. Me and my siblings had a magnetic backgammon set when we were kids, so finding another like that was super important to me. With magnetic sets you don't have to be too concerned about the pieces sliding around on the board while the vehicle is moving.I definitely want a set like this for myself. Even though I typically do the driving, I will still enjoy this set upon arrival of my destination, as well as at home. I have a lot of games so the compact size of this set will allow me to store it easily without it taking up too much space. Oh, I also like the plush world map on the outside of the set and on the cups. If you want a backgammon set that is good for people on the go, I think you might enjoy this one.

I was looking for a nice quality Backgammon set specifically for using while traveling. I looked at most of the sets offered on Amazon and after comparing I actually purchased a different brand with the same world map exterior, which makes me wonder if they are all made in the same factory. The other set is, in my opinion, a sturdier nicer set when you look at the details. That being said, I did purchase this set from WE and am happy with the purchase. It came quickly and it is about 2" smaller and 3 ounces lighter than the other set. The dice in both sets were the exact same size. The disc's were minutely smaller in size and are a lighter resin than the other discs. The dice shakers were exactly the same. The pieces were not too small for adult hands. This set was more expensive than the other set.These discs are magnetic which was not really important to me but they would stay in place if you were using it on a turbulent flight or the back seat of a car. I tried sticking them to one of the points and flipping the board upside down and it held. As mentioned in another review, the magnets and/or the way the points are stitched to the board make it difficult/impossible to slide the discs from point to point so if that is how you are use to moving your pieces you will be frustrated and damage the board. I did not find that the bar was uneven as others mentioned. I had no problem placing the discs on the bar and having them stay even though that area is not magnetic.Since I just received this set and have not yet traveled with it I can not vouch for the durability. I wasn't impressed with the staples used to attach the two sides to one another on the outside binding but for now they seem secure.Overall, I am happy with the item and am excited to bring it along on many of our trips.
