Finally Found a Wireless Headset That Replaces My A40s
I’ve bought several wired and wireless headsets trying to replace my old Astro A40 Gen 1s. Those things have incredible sound and mic quality and have lasted forever with nothing but new ear pads and a new cord. But I’m tired of having a wire running across my desk, so I started hunting for a true wireless replacement. I tried a bunch of headsets: some wired, some wireless from big-name brands, and while the sound quality was usually good, the microphones always fell short. Almost every pair I tested had the same complaint: “The mic isn’t clear,” or “you sound far away.” I ended up returning all of them. I even went through Reddit threads, YouTube mic tests, and a dozen “Top 10 Headsets” lists. I compared those recommendations to Amazon reviews, where even 4- and 5-star headsets often have tons of comments saying the mic is garbage. After watching real mic test videos, I decided to try this headset, and I think I finally found the one. The features are exactly what I wanted. It’s wireless, and it works with pretty much anything thanks to the Bluetooth and 2.4GHz dongle options. Switching between them is literally a tap of a button. The comfort band on top is a huge upgrade over stiff foam padding and keeps pressure off my head, so no headaches. And the microphone hiding inside the earcup? Genuinely awesome. It stays protected, doesn’t stick out awkwardly, and pulls out smoothly when needed. Controls are easy: a volume dial, a one-tap mute button, and a power button that only needs a couple seconds of holding. The basics are done right. Sound quality is great for both music and games, solid bass, clear mids and highs, and overall it sounds more like using my desktop speakers than a typical gaming headset. The real test, though, is the microphone. I hopped on Discord and asked the same question I’ve asked with every other headset: “Can you hear me, and do I sound clear?” For the first time in a long time, I got: “Yes, you sound like you always do.” Finally. Check. On top of that, the software gives you a ton of customization. You can choose presets, adjust EQ, tweak mic quality, and personalize everything from desktop, web, or mobile. It’s a lot more than I expected at this price. Battery life hasn’t been an issue at all. I haven’t charged it once in five straight days of use, including multiple gaming sessions each day. Even if it needed charging, that wouldn’t bother me because everything else checks out. For me, this headset hits every key point I care about. It’s not even at a premium price, but it performs like something that should be. Definitely do your research, because a lot of premium-name headsets have great sound but fall short in the mic department. This one finally delivers on both.

Great headset, great software, great price.
I was using Sennheiser Epos G670's prior to this. That was a terrible experience. The retractable mic is genuinely a lifesaver so I don't look like a total dork with a massive dongle hanging in front of my face while I have a standalone mic. The sound stage is decent, it's comparable to most mid-tier IEM's, arguably worse than the Sennheisers I had, but its still a very good auditory experience and allows you to pick up on many things that would usually go unnoticed. The comfort is next level though. No headset dent, doesn't leave gaps around my ears where my hair gets pushed out of the way, surprisingly lightweight. Stellar battery life. I use them on average 5-8 hours a day, and need to charge them once every week or so, and even then that only takes 30 minutes. The software (Steel Series Sonar) is absolutely top notch. I was using it prior to acquiring this headset and I only have incredible things to say about it. Multiple audio channels so you can have spotify playing with a custom EQ, and your game on a totally different one. I play Rainbow Six Siege at a semi-professional level, and that software really is a gamechanger in terms of being able to pick up on very subtle things in whatever game you play. This is 100% a must buy for anyone considering it.

THIS IS A GREAT HEADSET!
I WAS WORRIED THESE WOULD NOT BE LOUD ENOUGH OR HAVE ISSUES WITH CONECTION. I AM NOT COMPUTER SAVY, BUT I JUST GOT MY FIRST GAMING COMP AND THE HEADSET CAME WITH A TYPE C DEVICE I PLUGGED INTO MY COMPUTER. WAS EASY TO SETUP, ALSO I TRIED SOME OF THE PRESETS FOR DIFFRENT GAMES LIKE ONCE HUMAN AND FALL OUT 76, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! NOW FOR THE NOISE, IT CAME PRESET FOR THE FLAT AUDIO. I HAD NO ISSUE WITH THIS PRESET BUT I WANTED TO SEE IF THE HEADSETS MOBILE APP HAD THE AUDIO OPTION FOR THE GAMES I PLAY AND FOR THE MOST PART IT DID. I ALSO FOUND THERE WAS A OPTION TO REMOVE THE NOISE LIMITER BY A PRESS OF A BUTTON IN APP TO MAKE THEM EVEN LOUDER. NOTE THEY GOT TO THE POING THEY HURT MY EARS. JUST GOOD TO KNOW THEY CAN GET LOUD BUT I WILL KEEP THAT OPTION ENABLED LOL CRISP CLEAN AUDIO ALL AROUND. HAS AN OPTION FOR BLUETOOTH BUT I USE THE DEVICE THAT PLUGS INTO THE COMPUTER TO HAVE BETTER SIGNAL. YOU CAN HAVE IT CONNECTED TO THE COMP WHILE BLUETOOTHED TO YOUR CELL AND SWITCH FROM ONE TO THE OTHER IF YOU GET A CALL OR ARE LOOKING TO MOD THE HEADSET FROM THE MOBILE APP BUT I FIND I DONT REALLY HAVE A NEED FOR THAT OTHER THAN COOSING A PRESET FOR A SPECIFIC GAME. NOW FOR THE BUILD, CLEAN LOOKING WITH A COOL RETRACTIBLE MIC. THE HEAD BAND AND EAR CUSHION'S FELT GREAT AND OVERALL COMFORTIBLE! I HAVE ISSUES WITH HEADPHONE BEING TO SNUG AND SMALL BUT THESE OFFER A LITTLE MORE PLAY AND REST RATHER COMFORTABLY. BATTERY LIFE IS REALLY IMPRESSIVE. I RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR An AMAZING OPTION WITH A GREAT DESIGN,

wildly fluctuating sound levels
Audio levels change from one session to the next. I've tried having the dongle connected to my computer, and powered up the headset before booting the computer as well as connecting after the computer is already available without any noticeable difference. Some times I'll need to have the audio feed set to 30-40% to get a good level, other times I only need to have it at 2-4% to get the same effect. Previously I would have a setting of 10-12% when no other [loud] noises were present in the room (same room, same everything). Even if I did have more background noise in the room (with my previous headsets) I wouldn't need to go to 30%+ volume. I WANT to really like these, but I just can't deal with this issue any longer. Now I'm looking to get something that won't have this problem. If you pair it via BT, then the app (on your computer) won't see it connected. LAME!! I just paired it with my PC to see how the audio was. Mediocre in quality, Still needed to increase the volume to about 30% to get a YT video to play at a reasonable volume. When you initially pair via BT the volume goes to 100%, so be careful there. I DO like the retractable mic on the set since I use them for meetings (Teams) for work. But that's not enough to offset the usage shortfalls. Bottom line, I'm disappointed in how this headset preforms. The fluctuations are probably the largest issue. Since if I forget to check the volume (like before a meeting) and just turn them on, I CAN (and have) get blasted with sound before adjusting the computer volume. Other times you'll hear nothing since you had the volume set for the previous state and now you need to crank it up. Not sure if this is an issue with the dongle or not. I might do some additional testing as time allows. BUT, since I have two computers I need to use a headset with, switching between them via BT is [probably going to be] a pain.

first time going wireless!
i've only had this headset for a couple days now so my review might change as i break the headset in more. however! this is my first time getting a wireless headset. i'll probably come back to this later after some time to speak on its battery life and battery durability, however i LOVE the feeling of being cable free. i'm able to wear my headphones all around the house and still stay connected to the computer in my room so i can be on call with people while i'm in my kitchen without bringing my phone with me, or i can listen to videos or podcasts on my computer while cooking or doing work around the house. i've seen a few people complain about connectivity issues and that the headset disconnects at random from time to time. for the first day of having it, i did have an issue where it disconnected a couple times during the day and i had to reconnect it to get it to pick up my computer audio again. also, if you pair it with your phone and get a phone call, it'll automatically change the audio input to bluetooth and use the headset for your phone call as opposed to using your phone mic/speaker. for me this is personally a big annoyance and i would prefer the option to switch inputs if i want to, since i work on my computer and am typically on calls on my computer i would hate for my audio output to suddenly cut out just because i got a spam call or an appointment reminder. i'm sure this is something i can tweak in the settings though! aside from that though, so far it's been amazing. it feels perfectly comfortable on your head with no pressure, it's lightweight, and the padding around my ears is soft enough to not cause irritation from long term wear. i saw another review mention that the ear padding isn't deep enough so your ears touch against the actual speaker - i think this depends on your head and ear shape, but i can definitely say the ears are a little shallow and at certain angles my ears do brush against the speaker a little. for me it's nothing too uncomfortable, but depending on the person this could be an issue and cause irritation from prolonged use. in terms of sound quality, i don't have any complaints! i don't really notice too many changes from my previous headset (Logitech G432) but this is probably because i'm not much of an audiophile and don't really process much different from highs and lows. everything sounds crystal clear to me, and the app/program gives you control over different filters and presets and the ability to adjust things to your own taste if it's off for you. the app also gives you the option to prioritize distance connectivity from microphone quality - i don't know if this is necessary for my own needs, but i do have it enabled, and my partner told me it sounded like i was coming through from an old xbox microphone as opposed to something more positive or high quality. i usually use an external mic so this isn't an issue for my needs, and i haven't tried it yet with the distance toggle turned off, so i can't speak for its normal mic quality! but if you're someone who wants to be able to connect from some distance, just know this means your microphone quality will sound kind of awful lol. by default, this headset works that sounds that the microphone picks up will be played into the headset speakers to let you listen to things around you. i like this, personally, but if this isn't for you you can turn it off using the app! aside from that the noise cancellation is fantastic and muffles outside sounds a lot. i also love how this headset looks! it looks really sleek and professional, and so far from my use it feels a lot more durable and built-to-last than the old headset i used to buy. hopefully this lasts!

Recommend
The sound quality is excellent, with clear audio and great detail while gaming. They are very comfortable, even during long gaming sessions, and the wireless connection is stable and easy to set up. I also really like the ability to use them with multiple systems. The battery life is impressive and the microphone works very well for chatting with friends. Overall, a great wireless gaming headset and definitely worth it.

Lightweight, Great sound quality
This headset is lightweight while delivering accurate sound quality. The microphone is top notch, so much that I either had to mute, move the microphone or adjust the mic settings so others wouldn’t hear me breathing. I’ve played music for. My phone and then switched to my comp effortlessly all while having great sound. I’m extremely happy with this headset. ( I got it in white to be that much cooler).
