Inventory specific scanner
This 1D laser barcode scanner is specifically designed for inventory use but can be used as a simple scanner as well. Although this version of the scanner can't read 2D barcodes, the laser allows you aim a little bit easier, especially when there are many barcodes in the same area. I am able to read a 1 inch barcode at about 6 inches away and a 2 inch barcode at about 16 inches away. I like that you can also manually enter damaged barcodes, or add other information related to the scan such as quantities with this scanner. In addition to basic scanning, this scanner can also be operated in a batch collection mode that they call collect, as well as an accumulation mode that they call inventory. With the latter two modes, you would collect all the barcodes at once and then later export them to your own application. In regular scan mode, the barcodes get sent directly to your application via the included 2.4GHz USB receiver or through a wired USB-C connection. If you are out of range or not directly connected, any scanned barcodes that were not previously sent will automatically be flushed out of the scanner buffer once it sees a connection again. Unlike previous versions of this model that needed AA batteries, this new version has a built-in rechargeable battery. Overall, as long as you understand the limitations and capabilities of this scanner, it's a decent scanner for the price.

Reliable and versatile barcode scanner with wireless PC connectivity and extensive offline storage.
This is a very convenient and easy to use barcode scanner, which is an invaluable tool if you are running a small store or a warehouse. It works practically on any 1D barcode including UPC, EAN, Code128, Code39, ITF25, Codebar, Code93, etc. I tried it on every barcode I had on my packages, and all were recognized perfectly with a sub-second scan delay. Once scanned, the barcode appears on the screen and as you continue to scan the barcodes will be put in a list. The scanner has 4 MB internal memory and can store up to 1000000 barcodes offline. It also comes with an RF dongle that allows you to wirelessly transmit scanned codes to your PC (at a distance up to 656ft!) without even connecting the scanner to it, which is incredibly handy. The scanner PC software is available for every OS - Windows, MacOS, Linux, and even Android, so you shouldn't have any issues integrating it into your inventory workflow. The barcode scanner device itself looks like an old mobile phone, with a large LCD screen in the upper and a keypad in the lower half. It's convenient to hold in your hand, keypad buttons are easy to reach and press with your thumb. As I mentioned, codes are scanned amazingly quickly with a confirmation beep, and very reliably - I did not encounter any read error yet. I have only a few minor complaints. The scanner makes a really loud beep when you press any button, and I did not find any way to mute it yet. I would also suggest using larger bold fonts on the LCD screen for better visibility, as it's kind of hard to read small numbers and letters. Also, switching to dark background and white text could be beneficial for readability. But otherwise, the barcode scanner works perfectly, quite easy to use, and incredibly convenient thanks to wireless communication with a PC. Highly recommended! Bottom line: This Trohestar barcode scanner is a very convenient and easy-to-use tool, especially for small stores or warehouses. It has a large LCD screen and a keypad, and it's comfortable to hold and use. It can read a wide range of 1D barcodes with reliable and fast scanning. The scanner has 4 MB of internal memory to store up to 1 million barcodes. It also comes with an RF dongle that allows wireless transmission of scanned codes to a PC or Mac from up to 656 feet away. Constant beeping on every key press is a minor annoyance, but otherwise it's a great and reliable tool. Solid 5 stars, highly recommended. Pros: 1. Reliable and fast 1D barcode scanning. 2. Easy and convenient to use. 3. Large 4MB memory for 1M+ barcode storage. 4. Wireless PC connectivity up to 656ft. 5. Compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux. 6. Ergonomic handheld design. Cons: 1. Loud button beeps. 2. Small screen font size.

Might be good, if I can figure out how to use it.
Instructions are pretty much non-existent, and the few video tutorials I've watched only go over the basic functions that the included pamphlet covers, such as how to charge it, what button to click to scan things, how to dim the screen, etc. Nothing really explains how to use it as an inventory scanner, which is kinda what I bought it for in the first place. After messing around with it for a few hours, I haven't figured out how to do anything other than enter barcodes into the system. Maybe someone with better skills than I will be able to figure this out and write some instructions.

Great Inventory 1D Barcode Scanner!
This 1D barcode scanner is great for performing inventories, or even using at a POS station. Why leave it sitting in a box or in a drawer like so many inventory scanners do? The interface allows this barcode scanner to enter 1D barcodes into any field, just as if they were typed on a keyboard or touch screen. The memory capacity and storage function are great for being able to capture an entire shelf, area, rack, zone, etc. without having to run back to the computer for download. Even when you have stored thousands of barcodes, the downloading is effortless and fast. I would highly recommend this barcode scanner to any small business! 🐻 *Statement/Disclaimer: This review is part of Amazon's Vine Program which provides products at a reduced cost in exchange for sincere/frank reviews.
