love that it is French and English. Also very easy to follow. Complete bra and underwear pattern styles that can be styled.

Livre bilingue
Très bonnes explications. Comme le livre est écrit en français et en anglais, ça permet d'apprendre (ou de comprendre) certains mots techniques de Couture.

Almost complete book on Lingerie overall
The book is really useful. It's in French and in English and uses both metric and imperial system. It covers the pattern drafting of bras :the bra block, the full-figure bra,the demi-cup/balconette bra,the push-up bra,the bandeau bra,the shelf bra,the sport bra,the nursing bra,the triangle bra,It also covers the panties :the basic panty/brief block, the shaped panties without side seam, the high-rise control panties (+ version without side seam),the thong, the tanga, the shorty, panties,And covers various other lingerie patterns such as :the garter belt, the bodysuit (with or without side seam),the thong bodysuit, the bustier, the lingerie corset, and the wasp waist corset. It does not cover the grading aspect of the lingerie because every pattern is drafted from a block. It does not cover the assembly of the clothes, but there is a construction steps chart included for the bra and the panties. In short, this book is really complete regarding the pattern drafting of lingerie components.Pros :-It covers most of the types of bras and panties in pattern making-It has a small but concise history of lingerie section-It has a glossary of lingerie terms-It has a lot of visuals and every photography or figure is clearly identifiedCons :-It is a very visual book and I wish the photographs included were in color instead of black and white. In fact, the whole book is in black and white.-The measurement chart for Ready-to-Wear section is very unclear concerning its purpose in the book. There is no additionnal explanation concerning them and their usage. The fact that there are 5 of them, covering Europe (in 11 languages) Asia and the US is confusing.-A small error in one of the titles : in french the title is "Lexique du Modéliste" and in english it is "Pattern Drafter Supplies" when it should actually be "Pattern Drafter Glossary"Additionnal information (not present in the book) but that could complete it :The book has a great potential to be not only about pattern drafting of lingerie underwear, but also about the lingerie industry and Lingerie Design. There is, I think, an opening in this kind of book, as there are not a lot about the subject. A take about how the industry of lingerie works, or how it is composed would be great. Also, a section about the designing and sewing of a lingerie collection would add value to the book. Also, I think that the "Lingerie Supplies and Textiles" and "Pattern Drafter Supplies" could be a bit more informative/descriptive as to why is such a supply used in the lingerie making. A small description of the items described would be great. My recommendation for this book is : give it a go if you like pattern drafting different pieces of underwear.-A great complement for this book (that lacks visuals but compensates in detailed explanations of garment construction and Lingerie Supplies) is the Bare Essentials - Bras - Construction and Pattern Drafting for Lingerie Design, by Jennifer Lyne Matthews-Fairbanks.-Another ressource for lingerie construction would be the Singer - Sewing Lingerie book. It's a great help for lace manipulation, as well as knits. It's a great take on loungewear as it covers slips, camisoles, teddies, etc. Alas, it does not cover wired bras, only the triangle one.-For the designing lingerie process, there isn't a single book about that subject only. Most of the books cover many aspects of the designing. I would suggest two great books that cover the whole process of the creation of a fashion collection plus have a small chapter about lingerie design : Creating a fashion collection by Steven Faerm and Fashion Portfolio design + presentation by Anna Kiper.-There is also an e-Book that covers the lingerie design as a whole, it has a great Lingerie Supplies and Textiles chapter, but it lacks of esthetism, visuas and clear visual descriptions. It does contain a lot of useful ressources though. How to become a Lingerie Designer by Laurie van Jonsson and Matthew Leach.
