Brilliant tool! Even better with maps app.
Fantastic detailed map. You cant go wrong wit OS maps for any walking activity. To compliment the map as well OS have now got an app and you get to download this map as a free download when you purchase one. I'd recommend buying a map and working between the free map download and the physical map. The only down fall with these maps is you would think they may have looked to waterproof these by now. Otherwise its dead easy to place these maps in a clear wallet to show stages of your walk.

Map needs updating
Plenty of detail as expected from an os map. However, disappointed to find that this latest edition (2015) was reprinted and had the cover changed, but the data from 2009. Although not a great deal changes, a walk in the fog last week, in the Cheviot hills was made difficult where a large section of forest had be removed a few years ago but was still on the map.
