XPP-5420G 3 AA Intrinsically Safe Permissible Flashlight, Green

So far this little light is awesome. And it is really bright. I think it will fill my needs fully.

My wife likes this flashlight due to living in the Northeast, the Non-Metallic body does not radiate the coldness into her hands.

I received the product, everything looked fine. I opened it, added batteries and the interior unit did not want to go back in. I double checked the direction of the batter container, everything was correct. The container slid 90% of the way in and met resistance. I tried to install it 4 or 5 more times and the same thing kept happening. I then pushed it back together, reassembled the bulb cover and attempted to turn it on. The rubber button was all messed up and it would not turn on. Aggravated, it hit the trash. Save your money.

I needed a flashlight for work, and it needed to be Intrinsically Safe, this one looked ideal, and so it turns out. It comes with the type-certification certificate which is important for me. It uses AA batteries, and it makes sense to use good-quality ones (which is all it means by "premium" in the description. I some people tried using rechargables and slightly larger batteries - and were surprised that they did not fit?? This is intrinsically safe, you should not be opening it every few days to recharge the batteries, if you need that but a flashlight with a charging port. Personally I prefer flashlights that are ready to use without charging, and I always have new batteries available if they need changing. The flashlight itself is VERY good. A good clear beam covering a good area. The clip in addition to the wrist-strap is a great addition. Lastly, the price is simple excellent for a an Atex Intrinsically safe light, and half the price of many comparable models.. I am in the UK and it arrived from the US in 10 days with free delivery.

Great product, really bright light and safe. The lanyard is handy, has saved my light a couple of times from falling into my tank. The only pain in the butt is in order to change the battery, you need to remove a small Philips screw with a micro screw driver. Unless you carry one of these with you every day every where, it can be an issue if you have to do an emergency battery change in the field. Other than that the product is great.

This flashlight works well in the dark. It wouldn't do you much good in daylight though. I hope I'm having pizza for supper tonight!
