I bought the Gammeefy Hall Effect Joypad for my Nintendo Switch and it has been a great upgrade from the standard Joy-Cons. The full-size grip makes handheld gaming much more comfortable, especially during longer play sessions. The Hall Effect joysticks feel smooth and responsive, and it’s nice knowing they’re designed to prevent stick drift, which is a common problem with many controllers. The buttons have a solid feel, and everything responds well in gameplay. I also really like the Game Boy Color style design—it has a cool nostalgic look that stands out from regular controllers. The 9 color lighting options are a fun extra and can be customized depending on your preference. Setup was simple and the controller connects without issues. Overall, it’s a great choice if you mainly play in handheld mode and want something more comfortable and reliable than the stock Joy-Cons. This is the Best ever solution for those standard Nintendo switch controllers. The controllers on my switch kept shorting out. I believe the weight of the switch & the wobble that occurs over time was causing the shortage & I spent most my time trying to squeeze the controllers to reconnect them during my game play. This alternative is one full piece with a hard plastic back that keeps the controllers steady & takes the brunt of the console weight. The switch just slides right inside and holds the switch steady & prevents any added stress on the controllers making that eventual wobble & shortage a thing of the past. NOTE-I did need to buy a new case to fit the switch with this controller set up, but it is well worth it; I have consistent game play and can always remove my switch from this console if I I chose to play on a big screen or want to use the controllers detached. No more concerns if I am rapidly pressing the A button; am I getting carried away in game play and putting added stress on the detachable controllers that come with the switch? It’s glorious!! If you have bought the switch for a child or an enthusiastic gamer, this is a great addition for their game. This is definitely more stable for the switch and the added plastic covering the back certainly adds shock protection for the game console- no more worries about the wear & tear of picking up & setting down (definitely a plus considering how much cost is invested in buying the switch). Of course the light up graphics are cool and the comfort of the play feels more ergonomic & less stressful on my hands. (Though I will say, it took my hands a few days to get adjusted to the comfort of the controller; I was concerned at first, but hang in there, your hands will adjust & overall I think my game play has gotten better because this console is better ergonomically.) Other things to know? Holds multiple games, separate plug to charge controller (but can still play while plugged in), there is a “lock” to keep game securely in console & console turns on by holding the home button for 3 seconds (located directly under the right joystick). If you’re not yet convinced, roll the dice/ walk on the wild side & you will quickly become a satisfied gamer or a worshipped parent, grandparent, Aunt, Uncle or friend for being the best Nintendo switch gift giver EVER! I highly recommend; would definitely purchase again and seriously wonder why Nintendo didn’t develop this console holder in the first place 🤔. The only justification I can think is Nintendo realizes the controllers become wobbly & game players will have to replace them often; overall making them more money. 🤦‍♀️. Save your gamer from that costly bandwagon; you won’t regret it. It fits amazing. The appearance is exactly as it is shows. It is very compatible, and I would say it’s definitely worth the money. It works better than the expensive joy cons! They are able to charge at the same time on different chargers and one charger comes with the switch controller. My other son has dropped his so many times (he has cerebral palsy) and it still works absolutely fantastic and it has had some pretty high drops. If we ever need another one (we now have 3) I’m definitely getting it though this company and or person. Thinking about getting one for myself.

Wonderful device. I wish I knew of controllers like this sooner. My only issues is the unit sometimes drops out and can’t establish connection with the Switch. The fix for us has been to pull the unit out and restart the switch and controller. It won’t connect while it’s cradled for some odd reason. It only happens once in a while, but other than that my kid loves it.

My daughters right original switch controller started doing that fun little thing where it starts moving by itself and the only way to stop it is to turn it off, put it down and cry about the fact that you bought this thing brand new and it stopped functioning after 3 weeks. Anywho there’s many way to replace it, you can pay more than what this awesome controller costs to get a single right controller, you can buy a set for $80, you can buy and build one from the inside out or you can jump in after reading an overwhelming amount of reviews about all the different brands and styles here on Amazon and just buy one. So I did. My kids are rough with everything they own from their shoes to their to their pillows. Literally everything. We go through so many screen protectors now. Probably single handedly keeping some brands in business! As they are both diagnosed with ADHD and I’m on the spectrum we like things that are a bit more durable. This absolutely fits the bill! I love that it locks the console in place, there’s no fear of it falling out or getting loose. I love the size of the handles. At first I thought they’d be too big but after watching my daughter play they’re just honestly such a better fit than the much smaller original controllers. She can keep a grip on them, I don’t worry as much about them slipping out of her hands. I love the light features, you can change the colors, you can have rainbow, you can even adjust the brightness! And for I think it was $5 more you can get the other one with different designs. There’s like a lightning one, a spider web one, one that reminds me of rupunzels golden flower drawing, and a couple more. All of which you can also choose the strength of vibration too which is awesome. Some kids don’t like that sensation and we can turn it completely off. It comes with dual ended c chargers with a usb plug in, so you can plug in both the controller and the switch at the same time ( into the car or car phone charger which has been a life saver on road trips where I’d like to take less cords if at all possible). I would buy again (I just did actually, because there’s a second switch in this house and “it’s just not as cool as sisters is. Without the lights”) If something negative happens I will update this but as for now we thoroughly enjoy them. They feel extremely similar to an Xbox controller for those of us that were curious. You can’t keep on any case or skin, that I’ve tried but I’m sure there might be some paper thin ones out there somewhere. Idk but I think this is a great controller. It does all the things and all our personal boxes of what we needed in a controller. Not for someone who likes to take them off and use them independently. I love this controller so much! I like playing with the console screen not connected to my TV and the only problem was the joycons were extremely uncomfortable to play with. This completely solves that problem. It feels a lot like holding an Xbox controller which is my favorite controller. The lights are a cool addition. I would highly recommend getting this if you don’t like the joycons. It’s a complete game changer. I highly recommend this controller!

I've had this thing for maybe 2 hours and I absolutely love it already, it'd everything I want it to be and more. It's perfect if you want to turn your switch into a dedicated handheld and not have to worry about jiggly joycons that don't grip the switch properly. The buttons and sticks feel HEEPS better then any joycon, or even official pro controller I've owned. Very high quality and worth every cent

Bought this litle gem to replace old one ,fits perfectly on the normal switch,was absolutly surprised to see the hole controler lights up when charge worth the money arrived on time ,package was prestine

This product worked exactly as described. This has survived 2 months of daily play from my 7 year old son. It has been dropped and knocked off a table, it's totally fine! It has a great battery life! It lasts 5+ hours of game play. Two negative things though; 1) I had to remove my screen protector to make the switch fit into the controller 2) the locking mechanism to hold the switch in doesn't work great but the switch has never fallen out of the controller.

Controller is cool and works great, can be used by itself or with the switch in the slot which makes it very convenient. It's very light also great for the price compared to others.

I bought two of these controllers, they work great! We have been finding my son's isn't holding a charge only 3 months in so he has taken over mine as I haven't used it as much. We have found it works great for hand held mode, there isn't any delay or drifting in the controller. The septic feedback works great, though you can also hear it as well. You can lock the switch in to keep it secure, just ensure the lock is fully disengaged when removing the switch. We thought it was disengaged only to discover it wasn't fully relaleased and broke the top corner of the switch where the controller and joy cons slide on. Everything still works great on that switch. Another down side is the size doesn't allow for easy travel if not road tripping it or at home for hand held mode as it's hard to find a case to fit to keep it protected. Because this connects as a wireless controler you can also use it like a procontroller if using your switch with a dock.
